The 2002 film "Carrier" is another work of the French film director Luc Besson’s team . About the plot
The plot of the "Carrier" at first glance may seem banal and already very battered. At the center of history is a former military man, a special forces soldier. However, after a very small amount of screen time, the viewer realizes that the plot is twisted in a very original way. The main character, Frank Martin, although he is retired, lives a solitary reclusive life, but he is engaged in a very specific and in some sense interesting work. He carries goods and people, being guided by only three simple rules: no names, never open a cargo and never change the terms of a deal. Once, things go awry from the start. Frank is forced to break all his rules by risking his own life.

"Carrier" became for Statham the same as "Taxi" for Sami Naseri. Well, what can you do about this feature of Luc Besson - “to bring youth into people.” At the time of filming, Statham had already shown himself in Hollywood. On his account there were such films as “Cards, money, two trunks”, “Big jackpot”, “Confrontation”. However, it was precisely the Carrier that became its runway. After the premiere, Statham literally woke up famous, and his shooting fee was about a million dollars. The brilliant physical form allowed the actor himself to perform all the tricks during the filming, without resorting to the help of stuntmen.
Three years later, Statham took part in the sequel to The Carrier. The actor significantly increased his fee, but the box office from the action movie rental was also larger compared to the first part.
