In the cuisines of the peoples of the world (especially those who from time immemorial lived near water spaces) there are a huge number of dishes prepared from fish and seafood. The raw materials used are subjected to various processing: frying, cooking, baking, salting, stewing, pickling. What the cooks didn’t come up with to cook fish. One of the dishes is a fish casserole (as in kindergarten, nostalgic). Cooking it is quite simple, even a not-so-inexperienced cook can handle it.

It is tasty, nutritious, and beneficial for the baby’s body (and it won’t hurt you either: phosphorus and amino acids contained in fish and rice are an excellent combination of products). And you can enter it into your baby’s diet from the age of two. So let's try to cook!

The basic recipe for fish casseroles, as in kindergarten

To get an “authentic” dish, you need to take: a fish fillet - 600 grams, a glass of milk, a couple of spoons of flour, two eggs, two tablespoons of cow's butter, bread crumbs, ground black pepper and salt. Such a portion is enough to savor not only your child, but also a family of three.

Simple to cook!

A fish casserole, as in a kindergarten, is prepared quite simply. It is better to take a sea fish (it has fewer small seeds and more phosphorus and healthy fats). If you succeed in taking not the fillet, but the carcass - do not be discouraged.

  1. We free the fish from bones and skin (if fillet - then go to the next item automatically).
  2. Put the fillet in a pan in cold, slightly salted water, let it boil, and cook on the smallest fire for no more than 5 minutes.
  3. We take the fillet out of the pan, cool it and knead it with a fork to a mushy state.
  4. In a heated dry frying pan, pour the flour and dry it until golden brown. Pour the butter, previously melted, to the flour and mix thoroughly to avoid lumps.
  5. Bring the milk to a boil in a separate bowl and add the mixture of flour and butter. Mix and add salt and pepper. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. A baking dish (not very large, but rather a few small ones) is greased with vegetable oil. At the bottom of the form we spread half the minced fish and pour the sauce. Then another layer of fish. Top with all the remaining sauce.
  7. Beat eggs with a whisk, water the future casserole, and sprinkle the whole mass on top with a good breadcrumbs.
  8. We put in the oven, preheated to 180. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. We take out the finished products, cool and feed the baby (and you yourself will fall).

Rice variation

Fish casserole with rice (as in kindergarten), as one of the options, has the right to exist. I must say that rice in some Soviet kindergartens was added by cooks solely for the purpose of saving fish: if you put half the mass in the dish as rice, then the fish is spent exactly half as much! But we, as modern cooks, will not use rice in order to save the main product. It has long been noted that rice in combination with fish gives an enhancing taste effect, allows the benefits contained in marine inhabitants to be absorbed faster by the body. And besides - so really tasty!

Ingredients: fish fillet - 500 grams, rice - a glass (ideally, boiled rice should be equivalent to fish in volume), a glass of milk, a couple of eggs, cow's and vegetable oil - little by little. Of course, salt, breading and pepper.

We need a fish casserole, like in a kindergarten. How to cook it with rice? Approximately in the same way as in the previous recipe. Boil the fish (not very long). Boil the rice until almost ready. We make the sauce, as in the basic version: from flour, milk, butter. In a baking dish we put a mixture of rice and fish in equal proportions. Pour a couple of spoons of sauce. Then a layer of filling. Another sauce. Top - beaten egg and crackers (do not forget salt / pepper). We send to the oven and bake until golden brown (usually 20 minutes, no more). For those who do not like golden crusts: in principle, the dish is ready in 10 minutes, when the crust has not yet formed and has not been browned. So you can reduce the cooking time (the main ingredients have already undergone heat treatment). We take out the finished dish from the oven and eat. Enjoy all!
