No one will argue that a tasty and fragrant dish makes any person kind and grateful - even for a short while. Having given it, I myself was more than once convinced of this from my own experience, observing how the eyes of a husband who was tired at work became brighter, and my mood improved significantly and became childish. And this is only because he really likes my cooking.
And what product makes it possible to cook such an impressive dish? Of course, meat, which is very popular in almost all cuisines of the world. Well, and, of course, there is hardly any real man who could do without meat (except with the exception of vegetarians, but this article is not about them).
The usual meat dish that meets a tired man on the table and can literally revive him to life is meat with gravy. The most important advantage of this dish is to know only one simple recipe. Moreover, each time such meat looks different - it is all about the gravy, which can be different and transforms both taste and aroma, and the appearance of the food.
As an example, I will share such a sumptuous dish as meat with gravy, but in two versions. For starters, with onions. In this case, you need to take onions in a very strict proportion: the more, the better, juicier and tastier. So, to make meat with onion gravy, for a pound of pork or beef - as you like best - you need to take a kilogram of onion, you can even more, in accordance with the taste.
The meat should be cut into small pieces, and the onion - into thin rings or half rings. Some people just prefer to chop onions, but I like rings. Now put the meat in a preheated frying pan, on top - whole onions, add a spoonful of tomato paste, pour a little water and leave to stew. When the dish reaches a semi-finished state, add salt, add ground black pepper, a little vinegar (you can have more, less or no food at all) and a spoonful of sugar. Now simmer until tender. Onions can turn into a homogeneous mass, and all together is just meat with gravy - yummy is still that!

Another recipe for meat with gravy, in principle, is no different from the first. In the same way we cut the meat into cubes, and the onion into rings or half rings. But now the recipe will include tomatoes that need to be scalded, peeled and finely chopped, and carrots that need to be grated. Now we put the meat and cooked vegetables in a saucepan, fill it with water (slightly higher than the meat), salt it properly and add some dry spices (optional). Now simmer over low heat until cooked.
And then there will be something new. When a strong aroma begins to spread throughout the house and the street, attracting the attention of neighbors from neighboring households, you need to carefully pour the fried flour into the saucepan with meat, while stirring continuously, otherwise unpleasant lumps may form. After that, you need to stew the whole dish for another half hour - until now it is completely ready.
Yes, when you prepare the gravy recipe with meat in this way, it may turn out that the liquid evaporates too quickly. Then you just need to add boiled hot water - and that’s it.
As you can see, the dishes examined combine meat and sauce, and it is not possible to cook and serve them separately. Well, as a side dish, you can use at least the same potatoes or, say, buckwheat porridge. True, in recent years it is generally accepted that potatoes and meat are not compatible products in the sense of proper and healthy nutrition, but in my opinion, this is just nonsense. But if you want to follow these newfangled trends, then as a side dish you can use vegetable stew or sauerkraut in general. It turns out incredibly tasty.
