In nature, there is an extraordinary variety of different landscapes. Perhaps each of us can imagine the steppe, with all its distinctive features. This is a relatively empty space where trees and shrubs occasionally meet. The steppes are especially beautiful in spring, when the time comes for bright colors and sunny days.

The steppes are very diverse. Sometimes, contemplating the beauty of the landscape, we just need to consider every detail of the landscape, as a result of which we will probably want to capture this moment. Very often, we resort to easier ways to save what we see, that is, we photograph. But sometimes it comes to understanding that the camera is a simplified way of capturing the world. Surely you had a desire to feel every detail of the landscape, to deeply feel the shapes and colors. All of this can be recreated through fine art.
Many will think: "Draw yourself? I didn’t even study! Yes, I personally can’t do it, because I don’t have talent, because it’s absolutely not mine ... ”, etc. But I want to discover one truth: each of us can, everyone has the gift to see beauty, the ability to analysis, thinking. First you need to take the first step: pick up a tool and just try to play everything on a piece of paper. An artist of any category resorts to an academic drawing for an accurate image , which contains a certain sequence to achieve accuracy in the structure of the work. Having resorted to phased work, beginners can quite successfully portray everything that will interest and impress.
We draw the steppe. Sequence and rules of work from nature
In the transition from simple to more complex, a school program in visual arts comes to the rescue. There is a lesson called: "How to draw a steppe." Grade 4, according to teachers, can cope with this task. So, it will work out for you too. Many aspiring artists at the sight of the landscape are lost, rapidly starting to sketch out contours, slightly fade and paint. Most often, such works, without proper concentration on the construction and without a certain sequence of drawings, lose their shape and image literacy. Therefore, before starting to draw, you need to figure out how to correctly build the drawing, in order to subsequently receive satisfaction from both the process itself and the final result.
There are certain rules for the sequence of work, they apply to work from nature, and to work from memory. Turning directly to work, you need to catch important points. Such seemingly secondary aspects as the choice of material and the correctness of its use play a significant role. When drawing a steppe, it is necessary to compositionally mark the image. You will need watercolor paper (it does not get wet, withstands several rinses, differs in various textures), simple pencils with a different stylus softness factor (from H to B).
Compositional construction in a sheet

Now give color to this work. First, it is better to draw a steppe, and then go to the sky. On both sides we use a dull green color, so the work will seem more voluminous. Let's go through a little foam, so the work will be more colorful. When the work is dry, go to the details, drawing individual blades of grass.
In this case, the brush should be thin in order to easily draw pointed tips. You can mix green paint with dark, so the grass will be thicker. In the background, for a colorful expression, add diluted gray and purple paint. Using bright colors, we draw the horizon more contrast for a sense of space, and for the volume of the clouds, gray paint with water should be diluted and the shape slightly emphasized.
How to draw a steppe with a pencil in stages
We work on the same principle. First we draw a horizon line, then we outline the total mass of the depicted object, clearly indicating the objects. We draw everything that is in the foreground. With the help of hatching, we will recreate the black-and-white relations, texture, volume and depth of the surrounding space. During the generalization, the proportions, light ratios and tonality should be re-checked.
