Intestinal diseases

In the modern world, along with the advent of new opportunities and the development of technology, new diseases have also appeared. It is difficult to find a person who does not have any kind of chronic disease or problems associated with the stomach and intestines. Snacks on the go, neglect of hot food, fast food, sweet soda, alcohol, of course, the benefits of this lifestyle are much less than disadvantages. And lists of diseases, and lists of medicines, and other various ways to treat ailments continue to grow.

The most common intestinal diseases

Duodenitis is an inflammation of the duodenal membrane. With duodenal ulcers, sharp pains are noted in any of the abdomen. Bruising is also said about peptic ulcer, but they can be detected only by laboratory tests, if there is a lot of blood, then the stool becomes black.

Enteritis is an inflammation of the membrane of the small intestine. Most often, such intestinal diseases occur due to infection with Escherichia coli. E. coli is always in the intestine, but under the influence of unfavorable microflora, it begins to activate and release toxic substances. Enterococci and streptococci can also be causative agents. The main sign of inflammation of the small intestines is not very frequent, frothy and mucus-like stools, without a pungent smell. There may be pains of a different nature throughout the abdomen.

Colitis is an inflammation of the lining of the colon. Signs of colitis may coincide with signs of peptic ulcer, pain in the abdomen, dark feces. There are also distinctive signs: very frequent meager bowel movements, with a lot of mucus and foamy secretions, with an unpleasant putrefactive odor, accompanied by cramping. As a rule, colitis does not exist separately from enteritis.

Proctitis is an inflammation of the rectum. In the process of defecation, pains are felt, often the feces come out with bloody discharge, which may indicate cracks, hemorrhoids, in the anus.

Tiflitis is an inflammation of the cecum. Accompanied by sharp abdominal pain, which can give to the left side. Other signs of bowel disease often appear, such as upset stools, chills, and cramping.

Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix. Acute inflammation is accompanied by nausea and vomiting, fever and, depending on the location, all kinds of pain. The location of the process can be in the iliac region, near the intestinal loops and even in the intercostal space. The pain intensifies with coughing, laughing, sneezing, if the patient is lying. Especially acute pain is felt when lying on the left side. A symptom may be a white coating on the tongue. Treatment - surgical removal of the appendix.

Functional disorders - a violation of peristalsis. The work of the intestines is the promotion of digested food with the help of the muscles in the walls of the intestines. Various intestinal diseases can accelerate or slow down peristalsis, as a result of which constipation or diarrhea can occur. Although diarrhea is not always a sign of inflammation, sometimes this phenomenon can be triggered by excitement, rare foods or foods that are not digested (bran, peel of vegetables and fruits). Constipation can indicate a general weakening of the muscles, a hasty lifestyle (constantly there is no time and the body adapts), a sedentary lifestyle, constant nutrition of easily digestible food (meat, eggs, dairy products) can also be affected by the intestines getting used to the absence of irritating food, and against the background this muscle weakens, moreover, such food is completely absorbed. Constipation can also be symptoms of illness (such as colitis).

All intestinal diseases have common symptoms - pain in the abdomen and upset stool.

All symptoms of intestinal diseases can be associated with other diseases, for example, in women, pain in the abdominal cavity can be associated with gynecological problems. We can talk about the treatment of each of the diseases of the abdominal organs only after a good diagnosis, for each disease there are its most effective methods. As with any disease, undetected intestinal diseases in time can aggravate the condition and lead to surgical intervention where medications could be dispensed with.
