"Legends of the Circle": actors and roles, plot

He was called the king of Russian chanson. The songs of this man sounded everywhere. He was an outstanding musician with a rich biography: endless performances on stage, long tours, writing new hits ... Of course, we are talking about the legendary performer of “thieves songs” Michael Krug, whose life was cut short under very mysterious circumstances. He always enjoyed life, spent a lot of time with his friends and adored his wife and children. The death of the singer was a real shock for his fans, who to this day enjoy his magnificent musical creations. In 2012, director Timur Kabulov and producer Karen Hovhannisyan filmed the series “Legends of the Circle”, the actors of which reminded the viewer of the unique talent this singer of Tverson was endowed with. This work is a tribute to the musician.

Story line

Of course, the film "Legends of the Circle", many viewers were waiting.

The director made every effort to reproduce the true picture of the singer's life. A young man named Matvey, who works as a screenwriter, travels to Tver, according to the stories of friends, relatives and colleagues of the King Chanson, to write a true biography about him. Michael’s friend Alexei gives him all kinds of support in this matter.

In general, the retelling of the life of the Circle is quite accurate, but Timur Kabulov took the liberty of offering the viewer his own version of the death of the musician. One way or another, but the film "Legends of the Circle", according to experts, turned out to be quite realistic and convincing.

the main role

The authors of the idea to make a movie about the famous performer of “thieves” songs had no particular problems about who would play the main role. Oganesyan and Kabulov, without hesitation, invited to play the role of Mikhail a little-known producer, singer and actor Yuri Kuznetsov-Taiga, who was almost an exact copy of his hero.

In fairness, it should be noted that the film "Legends of the Circle", the actors of which worked, as they say, to fame, was perceived by the audience "with a bang" largely due to the striking similarity of Yuri with the Tver musician. It was not necessary and especially to make up. The only thing that Kuznetsov-Taiga had to do was gain a certain amount of kilograms. Well, after the actor’s mustache has grown, he wouldn’t have distinguished him from the real Circle. However, Yuri did not immediately agree to the shooting, asking for some time for thought. He was tormented by doubts whether his talent was enough to transform himself as accurately as possible into the king of the Russian chanson. In the end, he still made a positive decision.

Spouse

One of the primary roles in the film "Legends of the Circle", the actors of which brilliantly did their work, was assigned to Mikhail's wife, Irina.

RATI-GITIS graduate Olga Smirnova entrusted her image with playing. She is not a newcomer to the profession of acting: the viewer knows her from the TV series Dostoevsky and the movie Styles. The script of the film about the Circle provided for the real situation: before the concert, Mikhail's group loses a backing vocalist, and as a replacement for her place, the musicians offered the girl Irina, who served as a costume designer. Subsequently, the Circle will fall in love with her and will thank fate for such a gift. Of course, Olga Smirnova faced a very difficult acting task: to show the whole gamut of feelings that Irina had for Misha. She had to thoroughly prepare: to study all the information about the singer, to personally speak with his wife. As a result, she phenomenally coped with the transformation into the image of Irina.

Wife did not quite like the script

Despite the fact that the film Legends of the Circle, whose actors were selected by the director very carefully and responsibly, was successful with the viewer, the wife of the famous musician was not entirely satisfied with the quality of the script.

Irina found inaccuracies and flaws in it. She read the script just before filming began. The singer was somewhat distorted by the fact that she was not acquainted with him in advance. Irina was primarily confused by the fact that the protagonist of the film occasionally trumped up with bad words, although in real life the Circle avoided slang phrases. However, Ilya Shilovsky, who composed the script for the film, believes that Mikhail’s wife cannot know such details of the musician’s biography, since they legalized their relationship shortly before his death. Friends of the Circle, in turn, did not find serious inconsistencies in the plot.

Screenwriter

A significant role in the film about the king of the Russian chanson went to the screenwriter. His image was filigree conveyed by the famous lyceum Ivan Dobronravov. He also played more than one role in the cinema before he was invited to Legends of the Circle.

The actors and roles of this film were correlated with each other as harmoniously as possible. Ivan Dobronravov appears before the viewer in the image of a curious and at the same time meticulous young man who literally gathers information about the "idol of millions" by a string.

Friend

The foreground went to the film about Mikhail Krug and the popular actor Alexander Domogarov. His acting abilities and talent have long been recognized by theater and film fans. In the film "Legends of the Circle" (2012), he masterly plays the friend of a famous musician who is more than anyone else interested in solving the mystery of his death. He in every possible way admonishes and tries to help the screenwriter in obtaining information about the king of the Russian chanson, bringing him to the circle of friends and his colleagues.

Archil

A vivid and colorful image in the movie "Legends of the Circle" was presented by the popular actor Sergei Gazarov. He also has a lot of work on the set and on the stage.

In the early 90s of last year, he put Gogol's "The Examiner". This performance was recognized as the best, and Gazarov was awarded the STD prize for this work. In the film about the Tver musician, he plays the role of the criminal authority Archil, who lives by the principle: "All means are good at achieving the goal." And here Gazarov’s talent manifested itself in a wide range. This is another proof that the actors of the film "Legends of the Circle" for one hundred percent coped with the tasks set by the director.

Other roles

It should be noted other images that are of fundamental importance for films about a musician from Tver. In particular, we are talking about the administrator of the Circle - Seva. The actor Alexander Kuznetsov, a graduate of Pike, was approved for this role.

A sufficiently colorful image went to the famous lyceum Vladimir Zaitsev. He talentedly reincarnated in "Gray", who was a true friend of Mikhail and after his death actively supported the idea of ​​writing an autobiographical book about the Tver chansonnier. Zaitsev played a huge number of roles in the cinema, devoted much time to voicing foreign films.

However, not only the actors of the series "Legends of the Circle" tried to ensure that the name of the famous musician was immortalized in the cinema.

A film about the chanson star was created thanks to the efforts of the musician's relatives. Mikhail's sister, Olga, addressed Ilya Shilovsky material containing manuscripts of poems and songs of the Circle.

Participants of the group "Fellow traveler", who worked very closely with the chansonnier, also contributed to the picture.

Behind the scenes

Work on the set took place both in the Russian capital and in Tver. The beginning of the process coincided with the fiftieth anniversary of the musician. As already emphasized, the authors of the film proposed their own version of the death of the Circle. Relatives of the king of the Russian chanson did not object to the scene of the murder being shot in the very billiard room where Mikhail spent the last minutes of his life. According to the official version, the killers of the musician were not found at the moment, but after the detention of members of the Tver Wolves group in 2008, the wife of the Circle identified one of them involved in the crime.

The film was shown to the viewer in the summer of 2013.
