The Philharmonic (Kemerovo) was opened in the difficult war years. Already in the 21st century, she received the name of the great Russian bass Boris Shtokolova. Her poster offers the audience various concerts, season tickets, performances by both artists of the Philharmonic Society and guests of the city.
History
The Philharmonic (Kemerovo), the photo of the building of which is presented in this article, began its creative career in 1943. The cityβs craving for art was so strong that even at that difficult time they were in dire need of it. The Council of Deputies issued a decision on the opening of a concert and variety bureau. It was headed by M. Lifitz. The Bureau held concerts, lectures, and literary evenings. They passed at various venues in the city.
The bureau was renamed the Philharmonic in 1954. The repertoire has changed. Their artists appeared.
In 1979, the Philharmonic (Kemerovo) received its own building. Its opening took place on January 19. This day was a gala concert. The first celebrity invited to perform in her own philharmonic building was Edita Peha.
Today the philharmonic society has more than five hundred people.
Boris Shtokolov
The Philharmonic (Kemerovo) bears the name of the famous Russian opera bass Boris Timofeevich Shtokolova since 2008.
The singer was born in 1930 in the Kemerovo region. He began to practice singing in childhood, in the Kiev chapel, which at that time was evacuated to Sverdlovsk. Boris Timofeevich graduated from the Jung school, where he was a humming company. Then he served on a warship in the Baltic Sea. Then he continued his studies at a specialized school of the Air Force. There he studied in a vocal circle. His singing was heard by Marshal G. Zhukov and gave him an order to enter the conservatory, as he considered that a young man with such a unique voice should be sung, and there are so many military men in the country.
After graduation, Shtokolov was a soloist of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, then the Opera and Ballet Theater in the same place. In 1959 he was invited to Leningrad. There he became a soloist at the Mariinsky Theater, where he served until 1990. But since Boris Shtokolov was the world star of the opera, he performed on the venues of four continents.
B. Shtokolov performed the parts of Boris Godunov, Ivan Susanin, Mephistopheles and many others. He was awarded a large number of prizes, medals, orders, and was awarded honorary titles.
The Kemerovo Philharmonic Society's relatives left as a gift some personal belongings of this great artist. Here is a birth certificate, and even his concert tailcoat.
The great Russian bass died in 2005 from a serious illness. Boris Timofeevich was buried at Volkovsky cemetery. There, in 2008, a monument was opened to him.

In 2003, Sauer (manufacturer of this tool) performed a complete diagnosis, adjustment, and organ cleaning. After that, he began to sound new and more fresh.
