In 2015, a big wave of excitement arose both in the press and among Internet users around the date “October 21”. It was recognized as the day of the Back to the Future trilogy, as Marty McFly and Emmett Brown arrived at this very particular moment from the past. 30 years have passed since the audience got acquainted with the creation of Robert Zemeckis, and it still remains one of the most revered and revised in history. The "recipe" of these films is very simple, and each of the "ingredients" is of the highest quality. This is a carefully thought out plot, amazing special effects for that time, an excellent soundtrack and, of course, vivid and memorable characters.
The image of the Dock
Outwardly, Emmett Brown resembles a mad scientist with all the attributes characteristic of this image: a white robe, disheveled hair and a crazy look. The same applies to his behavior, which sometimes goes beyond the framework established by society. Most likely, that is why Doc has no friends at all, and all kinds of tools and mysterious devices serve him as faithful companions. Robert Zemeckis, creator of the Back to the Future trilogy, and Bob Gale, co-writer, admitted that they partially wrote off this image from Einstein and conductor Leopold Stokowski. His character was so fond of the audience and got used to popular culture that he became one of the most popular in history. He personifies the image of a truly dedicated and enthusiastic person who is completely absorbed in science.
Biography
The paintings contain almost no information about the past of Dr. Brown and how he chose this path. However, the universe was expanded through the cartoon, and there are alternative versions of the script, so you can gather some information about the parents and childhood of a brilliant scientist. For example, it became known that Emmett Brown was born in the family of Sarah Latrop and Erhardd von Braun. The ancestors of both families lived in Hill Valley. The boy became interested in science at an early age, after reading the book "Journey to the Center of the Earth." His father was against, but could not do anything, and his son went to get higher education of his own preference. Judging by the words of Zemeckis himself, the future genius studied at Berkeley and the University of California, and was also a participant in the Manhattan project in the 40s, thanks to which he acquired the necessary knowledge about nuclear physics. He was always interested in the question of the possibility of traveling through space and time, which becomes the main driving force of the plot.

First part
The fateful moment in the life of the scientist was the acquaintance with Marty McFly in 1955. However, on his own timeline, Marty met his mentor in the 80s, after which he went back in time to warn him of a possible change in the course of history. He says that the future Doc - Emmett Brown - nevertheless assembled a time machine, which pleasantly shocked the inventor. To create a wonderful device, Doc spent the entire state of his family, so in his free time he has to work in his own support service. In order for the machine to eventually work, he took a risky and life-threatening step. The fact is that plutonium must be used as fuel, so Emmett Brown entered into an alliance with the Libyans to steal it from them. They did not endure the deception and shot the hero, whom Marty witnessed, and immediately after this event he set off for the past in order to fix everything.
Sequels
The film continues in 1989, and the third part, after another year. There, the main characters again become Marty McFly, his girlfriend and future wife Jennifer, and, of course, Emmett Brown. "Back to the Future-2" begins with the fact that the trinity leaves for 2015. The doctor tells the young companions that they must save their children from imprisonment. They cope with the mission, but they are waiting for an unpleasant surprise. An old friend of Biff Tannen, using a time machine, creates another alternative reality in which complete insanity is created. To fix this, Marty and Doc again jump in 1955, where they successfully cope with the task. However, in the final, the scientist was struck by lightning, and he fell in 1855. The course of history was disrupted, so McFly again hurries to help a friend. The events of the third part unfolded in the Wild West, where Marty rescues Dr. Brown from death. When the time comes to go home, it turns out that this is possible only for one of them. As a result, Doc, together with his beloved Clara, remains in 1885, about the subsequent adventures of which they later shot a separate animated series.

Actor
Christopher Lloyd is the man to whom Dr. Emmett Brown owes his appearance on the screen. The actor brilliantly reincarnated as a brilliant scientist, which set the tone for the whole picture. It's hard to imagine anyone else in this role, and Lloyd himself is recognizable for the most part thanks to her. Although, in addition to the trilogy, he starred in more than a hundred different films. For example, in the cult “The Adams Family” of 1991, as well as in the films “My Favorite Martian”, “Route 60” and “Sin City-2”. In addition, he gave his voice to numerous animated characters. The actor, despite his advanced age, continues to act actively, although for all he will remain the very Doc, to whose image he periodically returns to this day.
