As soon as winter comes, we start desperately looking for more sources of vitamins, filling up the lack of fresh vegetables and sunlight. If you like slightly sweet dishes, then dried fruits will come in handy. Such dishes are not for every day, but sometimes you just really want to, for example, meat with prunes, the recipe of which I especially liked. Of course, it will take a lot of time to prepare this dish, but as they say, it's worth it. My first sweet meat recipe just won me over. It was lamb with prunes. Then I used beef already, but it was also very tasty.
Meat with prunes. Classic recipe
Take one kilogram of any meat and to it 150 grams of prunes and 150 grams of onions. You also need peas, vegetable oil and cinnamon, but cinnamon is optional. You can add carrots, also not bad, although I did not notice much influence on the taste. So where do we start? And we start with finely chopped onions. It must be slightly fried in vegetable oil. If you use carrots, add it after the onion. Cut the fillet into pieces about one centimeter thick. Pieces can be either small sticks or whole layers of meat. If the pieces are large enough, then they should be fried on one side for three to four minutes, and then turned over. If small - then just stir evenly. After about fifteen minutes, add prunes and about a glass of water. Then add salt, pepper and cinnamon and leave to stew for another forty minutes. Stir and simmer for another fifteen minutes. Long, very problematic, but tasty.

A little easier pork with dried apricots. First, prepare the marinade. We mix dry red wine, pineapple or pear juice in equal proportions, spices to taste, a couple of spoons of honey. You can add mustard and a little soy sauce. Finely chop the dried apricots and add to the marinade. Cut the meat into pieces. Approximately, one piece - one serving, rub it with salt and stuff with cloves, and then leave in the marinade for at least five hours (I left it overnight). We put the pickled meat in a baking sleeve, or wrap it in foil, while carefully wrapping the meat with dried apricots and slices of pear (pineapple can be). We bake the prune in foil until golden brown at a temperature of 180-200 degrees, and this is about forty minutes. You can boil the marinade a little so that it is slightly thickened, and serve as a sauce to the side dish. It has a very unusual sweet and sour taste.

This very simple meat recipe with potatoes and prunes is liked not only by me, but also by my household. The potato is cut into thin slices or straws, onion in half rings, prunes can not be cut. We lay all the ingredients in layers on the bottom of the pan: potatoes, onions, a little prunes, a little salt, pepper, and then again potatoes, onions ... You should get at least three layers. There are a lot of potatoes, a little onion, and a little bit of prunes - just five or six berries. Pour all this with hot boiled water so that the layers completely disappear through the water, and put it to simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes. The aroma is fabulous! When serving, you can add a little sour cream.
And you can also cook meat with prunes and mushrooms, although this is rather a festive dish, but sometimes you can treat yourself on a weekday. In this case, just part of the potato is replaced with mushrooms, which must first be boiled. Take mushrooms in a very strict proportion, otherwise it will turn out not so tasty: the more, the better.
