He wanted to live up to 89 years, set the border and agreed with God not to celebrate the 90th anniversary. However, everything happened differently. In March 2015, the national artist of Armenia Karen Janibekyan did not become. He left at 78 years of age.
After a 30-year hiatus, he returned to the theater, and all this thanks to his last wife Liana Antaryan. Without her, he would not have opened the foundation of Gurgen Janibekyan and would not have created the Gurjan Theater. Together they looked in the same direction - screenwriter and actor.

Karen Gurgenovich was born on July 1, 1937 in Yerevan in the family of the director, actor of theater and cinema, people's artist of the USSR Gurgen Janibekyan. Surrounded by creative people since childhood, Karen grew up as a restless and, as they say, a hyperactive boy. Father often took him to his theater, and the stage became a second home for young Janibekyan.
Energy was raging in Karen, and because of this, he could not decide on the choice of a profession for a long time. While his peers were applying to universities, Karen Janibekyan spent time with a fun company of friends, girls, and often got into trouble. Finally, gaining intelligence, Janibekyan Jr. entered Yerevan Theater and Art Institute.
The talent and efficiency of the young man did their job.
Soon he became a successful and popular actor in theater and cinema of Armenia.

Teamwork with father
He served in the theater with his father, and for the first time they played together in the production of "Before Sunset" based on a play by the German playwright Gerhard Gaumptman. My father played seventy-year privy councilor Matthias Klausen, and the thirty-year-old Karen Janibekyan played the role of Winter's servant.
Janibekyan created the image of the servant in his own way. It was a proud, pensive, sphinx on his mind, forced to turn to the master with the words: “Your Majesty” or “They came to you”. For ten years, Karen Gurgenovich lived as a hermit in Garni, where he had a small house overlooking the gorge. On the farm there was a barbecue, a small pool - all that was needed for happiness.
He went there offended by everyone and for the whole and long came to himself, breathing in the smells of nature. From this state his last wife Liana Antaryan deduced. Screenwriter and playwright Liana Antaryan vowed to write about the life of her father, who passed away.
She brought the finished script entitled “There is Life in the Mountains” to Armenia and was looking for the main performer for the role of father. Karen Gurgenovich externally and internally was very suitable for this role and with bated breath she expressed him her proposal. The actor decided not to refuse and encouraged the woman, and after reading the script, he realized that it was written about him. So two creative people met.
Liana Antaryan became his last guardian angel. The actor woke up his former energy, in a short time they created a new theater and opened a fund in honor of father Karen Gurgenovich.
To the question of the correspondent what he considers the highest award in life, Karen Gurgenovich Dzhanibekyan answered that it was his family, five sons, one daughter and grandchildren, among whom there is one with the name Karen Gurgenovich Dzhanibekyan.
