At the age of fifteen, Maxwell Lois ran away from home, intending to join the units of the Canadian army, who were sent to Europe to participate in World War II. In war, as in war

Maxwell Lois, in a group of other artists, accompanied military units, performing dance and musical numbers. The tall girl gained several years, and when the Canadian army headquarters still found out that she was a minor, a scandal arose that threatened to end with deportation to her homeland. To avoid expulsion, Maxwell immediately left the army and entered the London Academy of Drama. There she met Roger Moore, one of the performers of the role of James Bond, agent 007.

In 1947, Maxwell Lois moved to Los Angeles, closer to Hollywood. Beautiful appearance helped her become a film actress, and she successfully made her debut in the film "This Girl from Hagen" directed by Peter Godfrey. The character of Julia Klein was a success for Lois, she received the Golden Globe in this nomination for Best Actress. Reporters of various publications began to hunt for her.
