Easy Easter Menu Recipes Used in Our Family

Traditional dishes on the table are colored eggs, cakes and Easter cottage cheese. I will not dwell on the recipe for these dishes. And I will tell you about some of those that we have been preparing in our family for several years. The Easter table menu includes snacks, a hot dish, dessert, light pastries and drinks. Every year we still try something new necessarily.

This year, as an appetizer, I prepared eggs in a case. To do this, you need to take a few peeled boiled eggs, douse them with minced chicken. Then roll twice in a raw beaten egg, and then in breadcrumbs and fry in vegetable oil. Cut the finished balls in half and lay out beautifully on a plate. It turns out beautiful multi-colored rings in the context. On the perimeter of the plate can be decorated with greens or rings of cucumbers.

For a hot dish, we cook chicken in a pot with vegetables. As I already wrote, all the recipes for the Easter menu are easy, so I prepare the main course from the meat that is easy to digest. Sometimes we are lucky and we get rabbit meat from the village for the holiday. Then I bake a rabbit in the oven with potatoes and apples.

In the process of preparing the rabbit, I divide into portions, add salt, spices to mayonnaise, mix everything thoroughly and coat pieces of meat with this sauce. First I fry the rabbit first, and then the carcass in a pan for twenty minutes. During this time, cut the potatoes into rounds, coat them with the same sauce. I cut the apples in four and sprinkle with sugar.

I spread potatoes in layers on a greased tray, slices of a half-finished rabbit on top, then a layer of potatoes and apples. I put in the oven for forty minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees on the middle shelf. Five minutes before cooking, sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Sugar with apples and cheese give the dish a unique taste. You just have to try this combination, I think that you will definitely like it. We often cook such a dish for many holidays, so the question of what to cook for Easter from the hot does not arise.

Every year, from puff pastry, I bake a cake for Easter with eggs. After coloring the eggs, we always have eggs with cracked shells, so they go to salads and a pie. To make the pie, you need to cook the minced meat, mold a ring from it and put on a greased baking sheet. In several places, spread the eggs, cut in half, with the yolk up, and between them, pieces of puff pastry, wrap a ring of minced meat and arrange stars from the dough for decoration. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about forty minutes. It turns out an original and beautiful dish, just make sure that the cake does not burn.

On the Internet, various Easter menu recipes are offered as a dessert. But at home we make everything much simpler and more original. We buy ready-made cakes in the store, cut them and give them an oval shape. Together with cakes we buy on a bar of black and white chocolate, which we melt in a water bath. We coat the top cake with white chocolate, spread the colored marmalade on top with the mosaic. And with melted dark chocolate mixed with butter, we draw patterns around the edges.

It turns out for a sweet tea, an original, colorfully decorated and tasty Easter egg. Between the cakes, layered with condensed milk or jam. Sometimes we bake shortbread cookies. We have lamb, chicken and duck shapes. Often from the pieces of dough used to bake a cake, I bake a bird or a lamb. We give such tasty souvenirs to all guests when we exchange eggs and Easter cakes. They really like it.

In general, I think that it is completely optional to look for or come up with Easter menu recipes. It is enough to show ingenuity and imagination and then any favorite dish can be arranged according to the holiday. Any salad can be laid out in an oval dish, shaped like an egg, decorated with greens around. Top with chopped nuts on the edges of the lettuce, and in the middle - with the cranberries of the letter XV, and you get a salad for Easter.

For drinks, we put cahors, juice, cranberry juice , cherry compote and hot tea on the table.
