Children's Puppet Theater (Murmansk) has existed since 1933. Today, his repertoire includes performances intended only for young spectators. The team is very popular with boys and girls.
About the theater
Murmansk Children's Puppet Theater began its career in the city of Kirovsk. It was there that he was created by actors from Leningrad. Six months later, the group’s repertoire included three productions. In 1938 the theater became regional.
During the war years , the troupe worked in the frontline territory . Artists gave concerts and performances for the defenders of the motherland to raise their morale . For this , JV Stalin himself thanked the collective .
Soon the puppeteers moved to the city of Murmansk . At first, the actors performed on other people's venues . In 1972, he defined his own building . A large stage , comfortable make-up rooms and everything else that is necessary for fruitful work .
Then, in the seventies, Murmansk puppeteers began to actively tour. They drove their performances practically throughout the Soviet Union.
The nineties were difficult for the country . The theater did not escape difficulties . But he continued to live , delight the audience , stage new performances and tried his best to survive .
In 2001, the theater was one of the organizers of the festival . The countries of the Barents region took part in it . And also the team participated in various competitions . Often, actors brought awards to Murmansk .
Gradually, the popularity of puppeteers increased. The number of performances that they released per season increased. Spectators became more and more interested in theater. As a result, the question arose that the actors needed a separate building. In 2005, the Minister of Culture visited the Murmansk region. He promised to help the troupe gain new housing. A suitable building was found only in 2012. This is the former House of Officers. Now the theater is waiting for a major overhaul of the building.
