Plot

Despite the ease of narration, Beverly Hills 90210 exposes viewers to quite serious problems: racial inequality, rape, lack of parental attention, cheating, alcoholism, teenage pregnancy and AIDS. Brenda Walsh and her friends find themselves in difficult situations, faced with problems in the family and school. The role of the main character was played by Shannen Doherty.

Brenda Walsh is a charming girl who, in the first episodes, tries her best to get rid of provincial naivety. She is a little envious of the lives of local teens, but soon realizes that they are truly unhappy. Famous mother Kelly suffers from alcoholism, Tiffany steals in expensive stores for the sake of parents' attention, and artist Skye fled home and left school.
Brenda tries on their lives for herself and understands the value of her own family. Walsh decides to help other teens and gets a hotline. The first call is a difficult test - a girl who is raped by a classmate calls for help.
The Brenda character is revealed gradually. In the second season, a girl from Minnesota is waiting for the first “California” love - Dylan Mackay. A possible pregnancy, a rival, a conflict with Dylan’s mother and an attack by a robber - despite a difficult period, our heroine manages to return to normal life.

The head of the family is dissatisfied with the choice of her daughter, but she does not care. The conflict escalates after an unplanned vacation in Mexico. The girl moves to Mackay’s bachelor’s nest, but living together leads only to quarrels.
