Story line
The script is built around the life of the Solitano family. The younger clan member, former teacher Pat (Bradley Cooper), spent more than eight months in a psychiatric clinic. To a nervous breakdown he was brought by the betrayal of his wife, whom he is still in love with. Not wanting to build a new life, he is in search of an opportunity to restore his marriage. The father of the protagonist (Robert De Niro) prefers games and betting to his son. Mother (Jackie Weaver) refers to those women who prefer to hide their heads in the sand, not wanting to admit the existence of problems in the family.
Such a lifestyle usually leads to walking in a circle and exacerbating problems. But Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence) intervenes in the plot. The girl managed to suffer the death of her husband, dependence on pills and a rehabilitation course in a medical facility. All this did not prevent her from maintaining an active life position and desire to act. Further developments are due to attempts by the main character to build a new future.
