History

The city of Krasnodar acquired its own philharmonic in 1939. But in the war years, due to occupation, it was closed. In 1943, her work resumed. In 1944, it included a music hall, an amusement theater, nine pop bands and a song and dance ensemble. Soon the revived Kuban Cossack Choir joined the team .

In 1973, composer G. Ponomarenko arrived in Krasnodar. His arrival was a special milestone in the life of the Philharmonic. The Kuban period of the composer's work was very bright and fruitful. During his life in Krasnodar, he wrote many songs based on poems by local poets. He also composed oratorios, operas, operettas and film music.

Grigory Ponomarenko

Ponomarenko Grigory Fedorovich, whose name is the Krasnodar Philharmonic, is an outstanding Soviet composer, accordion virtuoso. He began to study music in a very early childhood. At 5 years old already mastered the button accordion. I studied music notation on my own. He wrote his first work at age 12. During the war years he worked as part of propaganda brigades - he spoke at the fronts and in hospitals. In the 50s he was a soloist in the Moscow Orchestra of Folk Instruments.

G. Ponomarenko is the author of songs known throughout the country: “Poplars”, “Ivushka green”, “Naryanmar”, “Orenburg downy scarf”, “I will call you zorenka”, “Oh, snow-snow”, “Birch grows in Volgograd "And many others. He also wrote music for famous Soviet films.

The performers of the songs by G. Ponomarenko: Lyudmila Zykina, Nani Bregvadze, Claudia Shulzhenko, Valentina Tolkunova, Lev Leshchenko, Joseph Kobzon, Nadezhda Kadysheva, Oleg Gazmanov, Larisa Dolina, Nadezhda Babkina, Turetsky Choir and others.

Since 1973, the composer lived and worked in the Kuban. At this time, he wrote many songs about this wonderful land. In 2006, the G.F. Ponomarenko Prize was established. Lyudmila Zykina became her first laureate. In the same year, the memorial museum-apartment of Grigory Fedorovich was opened. In 2007, the Philharmonic of Krasnodar was named after him. A monument to the composer was erected in front of her building. The name of Grigory Fedorovich is several music schools of the Kuban. Every year in the region there is a festival named after G. Ponomarenko.

The Krasnodar Philharmonic Society gathered on its stage many wonderful multi-genre ensembles. One of them is called Palyanitsa. The repertoire of artists is classic, Russian folk music, country, folk, retro, rock and modern pop.

The head of the ensemble is Konstantin Smorodin. He is the accompanist and arranger all rolled into one. The composition of the ensemble: two domra, balalaika, bass, two button accordions, flute, oboe and drums.
