Chocolate flan is an amazing cake, which is not only an amazingly delicious dessert, but also a real scientific experiment. The raw mass is poured into the pan, mixing everything at the same time: caramel sauce, dough for cake, and mixture for flan. However, when baking, the layers of this wonderful cake are arranged in perfect order by themselves: at the bottom there is a cake, at the top there is a flan. Layers do not mix, but swap!

Simple recipe
Few people like to bake cakes, because they take a lot of time and effort. Usually they first bake cakes, then mix (and sometimes boil) the cream, grease the cakes with it, add fudge, work on the decorations. A minimum of time and effort is what a chocolate flan is. The recipe is simple, contains available ingredients and will be quite affordable even for novice cooks.
Structure
So, for the cake, take the following products:
- 1/2 tbsp. caramel sauce (you can buy it ready in the store or make your own according to a separate recipe);
- 1/2 tbsp. and another 2 tbsp. tablespoons of flour;
- 1/3 Art. cocoa;
- 1/2 tbsp. tablespoons of soda;
- 1/4 Art. tablespoons of salt;
- dark chocolate (cut into slices);
- 6 tbsp. tablespoons of melted butter;
- 1/2 tbsp. buttermilk;
- 1/2 tbsp. Sahara;
- 2 eggs;
- 1 teaspoon of vanillin.
Chocolate flan is the name of the cake, however, in fact, the flan does not contain cocoa. To prepare it you will need:
- 2 cans of condensed milk;
- 2.5 tbsp. milk;
- cream cheese (type "Philadelphia", warm to room temperature);
- 6 eggs;
- 4 egg yolks;
- 1 teaspoon of vanillin.
Cooking
If you have prepared all the ingredients on the list, you can start baking a chocolate flan. The recipe, as mentioned above, is very simple:

- Preheat the oven in advance. Sprinkle the round cake pan with flour, pour the caramel sauce.
- In a small container, mix flour, cocoa powder, soda, and salt. Set the mixture aside for a while. Place dark chocolate and butter in a microwave, and melt for about two minutes. Beat buttermilk, sugar, eggs, vanillin and chocolate butter until smooth. Then add the flour mixture and mix until smooth. Pour the dough over the caramel sauce.
- Combine the condensed milk, milk, cream cheese, eggs, egg yolks and vanillin, beat the mixture with a blender for one minute or until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Pour slowly into the mold over the dough.
- Place the cake pan in a large frying pan. Fill the pan halfway with boiling water and bake the cake for 75-90 minutes at maximum temperature. You can check its readiness with a toothpick. Transfer the chocolate flan in the mold onto the wire rack and cool to room temperature (about two hours). Put the finished cake in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
- To easily shift dessert into a beautiful dish, place the bottom of the mold for a minute in hot water. Cover the top of the dish with the dish and turn the flan over. Remove the mold slowly and carefully. You can serve dessert on the table.
Caramel sauce
Chocolate flan is not the only dessert that includes caramel sauce. They can pour any ice cream (although chocolate balls will get a special taste with it) and almost any other cake. The classic recipe for such caramel necessarily includes a lot of sugar and a lot of heavy cream. You can find an option for your own taste - for example, an exotic caramel sauce with sea salt and vanilla extract.
