Find a berry such as cranberries in our country is quite simple. It is tasty, besides it has a lot of useful properties. Drinks from this berry should be consumed by everyone. In our article we will consider several options for making jelly. Choose the one you like.
The first recipe. Kissel
Such a berry, like cranberries, in frozen form does not lose its palatability and beneficial properties. Therefore, it can be safely frozen in reserve. Children can add a little honey or sugar to the finished cranberry jelly, as the drink may seem sour to them.
To prepare you will need:
- 70 grams of sugar;
- 200 grams of frozen berries (cranberries);
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of potato starch.
Jelly from frozen cranberries: a recipe for cooking
- Pour three tablespoons of water into the pan, cover them with berries. Warm everything together for several minutes.
- Then squeeze the juice from the berry. For these purposes, you can use a sieve or a juicer.
- Pour the crumb from the berries with two liters of water. Cook after boiling for about five minutes. Then add sugar, mix.
- Take a container, pour 150 ml of water into it. Dissolve starch in a liquid, mix. After that add to the bulk. Warm the composition, but do not boil.
- Next, remove the composition from the fire, add previously squeezed juice. Cool cranberry and starch jelly. Serve portionwise!
The second recipe. Linen kissel
Let us now consider the option of making cranberry jelly without starch. Such a drink will be even more beneficial. It contains a loading dose of vitamins C and B, there is also magnesium, iron and calcium.
In this recipe, flax seeds are used to make jelly. They are useful for the intestines, cleanse it, improve the digestion process.
For cooking you will need:
- a glass of cranberries and as much sugar;
- one and a half liters of water;
- 2 tbsp. spoons of flaxseed.
Cooking jelly at home
- First, wash the fruits, dry. Grind the berries with sugar, strain through a sieve, so that the juice is separated. It will be needed later.
- Pour water into the pan, bring to a boil. After there, drop the cranberry meal. Let it boil, wait about five minutes. Then remove the broth from the heat, let cool, about half an hour. During this time, the drink will infuse.
- Grind the grains in a blender, throw in a liter of boiling water. Cook for about fifteen minutes. During this time, the water should thicken.
- When the jelly from flax is ready, pour in a decoction (already, of course, without oilcake) and cranberry juice. If you wish, you can throw ginger or cinnamon there.
- It is best to consume cranberry jelly warm. Remember that such a drink is cooked on flaxseeds, so it will quickly deteriorate. It should be cooked as much as it turns out to be consumed at a time.
The recipe is the third. Blackcurrant and cranberry jelly
Such a drink perfectly refreshes in the heat, quenches thirst. In addition to taste, I would like to say that the drink contains many vitamins and minerals.
To make jelly from cranberries and berries you will need:
- 75 grams of potato starch;
- 300 grams of cranberries;
- 150 grams of sugar;
- 100 grams of lingonberries and so much black currant.
Making a drink
- Rinse the berries first, dry them.
- Grind the fruits through a colander.
- After squeezed the juice, set aside alone.
- Throw the berry cake into hot water (about three liters of water will be required). Cook for about ten to fifteen minutes.
- Next, the broth is filtered. At the same time, squeeze out the cake, which is then thrown away.
- Set aside one cup of broth separately, put the rest on the fire, add sugar there, boil.
- Dissolve starch in the left broth. Stir well.
- When the broth boils on the stove, pour in the berry juice. Boil a little.
- Next, pour in a thin stream of dissolved starch.
- After that, remove the cranberry jelly from the stove. Let it cool slightly. After that serve warm or cold!
