However, the exception to this rule is Daria Stavrovich, the soloist of the famous Slot band.
Biographical facts
Daria was born in the Arkhangelsk region (city of Velsk) on February 1, 1986. The family was complete and prosperous: father is a doctor, mother is a teacher. After graduating from secondary school, the future star entered the Nizhny Novgorod College of Music. Thanks to personal connections, Daria Stavrovich got into the Slot group, and, according to many fans, it was her vocals that brought the team such high popularity and fame. What is noteworthy, Darius successfully combined her musical career with higher education. She graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Arts, studying with Ekaterina Belobrova - one of the best vocal teachers in our country.

Dariya Stavrovich got into the formed and quite successful musical group by a lucky chance. Igor Lobanov was acquainted with Maxim Samosvat, a former soloist of the rock band "Epidemic". Thanks to this fact, Darius was accepted into the Slot group in 2006. The collective was founded in 2002 and by the time the new vocalist joined it, it already had one album and several clips. Daria’s unique voice and manner of execution literally breathed new life into the team’s work. It is in the group that she receives a new nickname - Nookie, invented for her by her musician-colleague ID.
During the work of Daria in the group "Slot" 7 albums were released, as well as a huge number of singles. The star amazes its fans not only with outstanding vocal data and frenzied performance, but also with its extravagant appearance. "Slot" is an alternative rock band performing songs in various genres. Daria Stavrovich tries to fully comply with the image and regularly appears in videos and in public in informal clothes, with dreadlocks or long black hair, a new piercing and tattoos.
Solo project
In addition to working in the Slot group, Daria is involved in recording songs with other musicians. The singer is also working on a solo project, which, as you might guess, is called Nookie. Under this brand, two albums have been released today and several clips have been shot for songs from them. Not all fans know what the pseudonym that Daria Stavrovich chose is Nuki. According to one version, we are talking about a brief definition of intimate communication without obligation, however, the star herself claims that this is just her name in Japanese.
In her interviews, Daria says that active work solo in no way is a hint of an early breakup of the main group. "Slot" is still interesting to Nuki, and the team will continue to exist, tour and release new compositions and albums. Daria is not only a singer, but also an author of texts and a co-author of music. By personal confession, the chosen genre for her is the only opportunity for self-expression in full, and without creativity she simply cannot imagine her life.

Stavrovich Daria Sergeevna - the girl is not superstitious. In one of the clips (for the song "Mirrors"), she plays the victim of a mysterious murder that occurred in Jacksonville in 1952. The compositions of the Slot and Nookie projects are diverse and provocative. They touch on the themes of love, life and death, politics and the pressing problems of modern youth.
But the star does not like to talk about her personal. Of course, bright novels are sometimes attributed to her, like other celebrities, but Daria Stavrovich herself does not comment on them at all. Nuki's personal life is a mystery, and for obvious reasons. In the spring of 2014, the lead singer of the Slot group was completely attacked right before the scheduled autograph session. The offender stabbed the singer in the neck, after which Daria underwent surgery on the trachea and vessels of the neck. However, after a couple of weeks, Nuki was safely discharged from the hospital, and in the summer the Slot group traditionally performed at all major festivals.
