Actor Roman Grechishkin: biography and career

Roman Grechishkin is a Russian theater and film actor. He is known to the viewer for his roles in the series: young Messing in “Wolf Messing: Seen through Time”, Igor Berestov in “Scythian Gold”, Ilya in “Kind Exchange”, etc. At the age of 27, the actor tragically passed away.

The actor was born on November 8, 1981 in the city of Moscow. Parents loved his son very much and did not refuse him anything. As a child, he dreamed of traveling the world. He studied well at school, was obedient, so the teachers loved him.

Roman Grechishkin graduated from the Shchukin Theater School in 2004 (course of E. V. Knyazev). As a student, he was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov, on whose stage he made his debut in the role of Sasha Pylnikov in the play “Teacher of Literature” (2003).

His diploma theatrical works were the roles of Obolyaninov in the play “Zoykina Apartment” and Slavik in the production of “Apricot Paradise”.

The novel collaborated with Oleg Tabakov's studio theater. There he played in the play “Soldiers” (the role of Novikov) and in the production of “Resurrection. Super ”(the role of the director of the department).

At the end of 2005 on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov premiered the production of Y. Butusov's "Hamlet", in which Roman Grechishkin played Laertes. The performance aroused conflicting emotions in the audience: from delight to disgust. However, as well as the performance “Pyshka” directed by G. Tovstonogov, in which Roman played the role of Kornyude.

In 2007, in the melodramatic series "The Right to Happiness," he embodied the image of Flip on the screen. In 2008, there were small episodic roles in the TV series Univer (Maratik), Blue Nights (Vladik) and Champion (Vitaliy Kolomiets).

In 2009, there was a rapid career growth - Roman Grechishkin played the main role (young Messing) in the television series Wolf Messing: Seen Through Time. This was the last project in the life of an actor.

Leaving life

On the night of January 8, 2009 (at 01.30), a terrible accident occurred in front of house number 8 on Sadovaya Street. Roman Grechishkin, accompanied by two girls, one of whom studied at a theater university, and the other was his fan, returned at night from a party. Wanting to shorten the path, the company decided to cross the roadway of the Garden Ring. The road was slippery, and the driver of the minibus, which left the tunnel under Mayakovsky Square at high speed, did not manage to slow down and brought down the whole company. Roman and his fan died on the spot. The second girl managed to survive, but she received a head injury and fractures.

Roman Grechishkin was buried on January 11, 2009 in the village of Oznobishino, at the Oznobishinsky cemetery at the Trinity Church.
