The great actress was born in 1905, on April 30 (May 13). Stefania Stanyuta Mikhailovna is the true embodiment of aristocracy and the city of Minsk all rolled into one. Behind her are not only hundreds of the best theater roles, but also shooting in the best films that Belarusfilm shot in those days. As an exception, one of the greatest Belarusian films “Go and See” is usually cited, and all because the director of the film flatly refused to invite professional actors to the shooting.
And no matter how eternal the memory of Stefanie Staniut may be, despite the fact that her life was filled with tragedy, her stage partners called her nothing more than a man-light. Stanuta left this world in 2000, completing the twentieth century, which the actress lived from beginning to end. Her life is a real textbook of the country's history, because all the events of that century were reflected in her.

The future actress was born in the family of a famous Belarusian artist. Mikhail Stanyuta - the father of the future actress - worked as an accountant in various organizations and only in his spare time mastered artistic skill. One of the aspects of this study was an introduction to bohemian life. My wife always said that Mikhail was elusive, he was in time always and everywhere.
Everyone was only surprised at how frivolous the son grew in severity with his Catholic mother. Mikhail's mother was indignant when he chose an Orthodox peasant woman from Dokshitsa as his wife. The moment of ceasefire came only when in honor of the strict granny they named the born granddaughter - Stephanie. But despite the love of a loose lifestyle, Stanyuta achieved everything and made himself an artist, not embarking on all the hardships.
Stefanie's mother, Kristina Ivanovna, was a real heroine. While the husband was looking for himself and improving his artistic skills, the wife dragged the household on herself. Having moved to the city, she was very shy of her origin and even invented a new name for herself, the city name - Lidia Vasilievna. Over time, even Michael began to call her that.

The beginning of the theatrical career of Stephanie was due to dancing. This art form was always the most beloved and highest for her. It was the love of dancing that led the future actress to the troupe of extras, from which later the First Belarusian State Theater, which later became Kupalovsky, would turn out.
Failed debuts
The theater came to Stanyutta thanks to the dance, which all her life remained her favorite and the highest of all forms of art. At that time, theatrical art had a much greater impact on society than it is now. When there was no radio, television, and even newspapers were rare for most peasants, the theater could simply turn around the whole worldview of a person, especially when the troupe toured in small towns. Theater is a powerful cultural force.
The fourteen-year-old Stefania received her first fee - 2 zł for an unnamed role in the play. Mom was immensely proud for her daughter and rejoiced even at such a girl's earnings. And if the actress coped with the role without words perfectly, then the first exits of the Stanyuta in roles with words were not the most successful. Despite the fact that her monologue was short, the young actress fell into a stupor and could not even help the prompter.
Many artists, after a couple of failures, would forever leave the idea with the theater, but not Stefania. Despite her talent, the actress struggled throughout her life with a fear of the stage.
What happened next?
In 1921, Stanyuta got with the very first enrollment in the Belarusian Drama Studio, which worked in Moscow and had the status of a university. Among young people, the future actress was popular. And this is not surprising - model looks and fashionable clothes did their job. There was no end from the cavaliers, and at that time the girl just married her classmate Vasily Rogovenko, but they dispersed quickly enough.
The second husband of the actress, Alexander Kruchinsky, was a military cavalryman, a native of the city of Minsk. This marriage gave Stephanie and Alexander a son, only her husband was in no way satisfied with theatrical life and constant touring. He was jealous, tried to persuade her to leave the theater. Young people broke up just before the start of the war. Stanyuta raised her son alone, and they had a fairly close relationship.
Her son Alexander became a doctor of science, literary critic. He has been with his mother in recent years and has recorded all of her monologues, for which we thank him.
