Kastyba is an old Tatar and Bashkir dish prepared in the form of tortillas with filling. It is a fried dough, most often fresh, stuffed with porridge, stew or mashed potatoes. In appearance, the caste is similar to an open pie or sochi. The filling is placed on one half of the tortilla and covered with the second half. Sometimes pastries are smeared with melted butter.
