This is surprising, but the first series began to appear in 1940. The cartoon "Tom and Jerry" exceeded all expectations when the pilot episode delighted and inspired the audience. The main characters of the animated series are the mouse Jerry and the cat Tom. Their peculiarity is that they are in an eternal struggle with each other, but in an emergency they can rally and find a compromise. This is what pleases the audience - the transition from one extreme to the other.

The gray mouse from Tom and Jerry is a typical rodent that lives in almost every home. The hole of this boy is made, as expected, between the walls and under the floor. But, unlike all representatives of this species, the mouse Jerry gives the cat Tom a lot of problems:
- Firstly, because this gray little boy is very arrogant and purposeful. If the little mouse Jerry wants to take some food, then he will certainly do it. Of course, the rodent’s repeated appearance in the house frightens its inhabitants, and the owners begin to complain about the useless cat. After all, everyone knows that four-legged mustached friends love to hunt mice.
- Secondly, the viewer sees that Tom is not a very lucky and graceful cat. No matter how he tries to catch the mouse, each attempt turns into even bigger problems. After the chase, the house turns into a battlefield, and the four-legged pet itself then licks its wounds for a long time. This picture clearly does not inspire the owners, why the cat again gets caught up.
- Thirdly, the cartoon "Tom and Jerry" shows how mice can be cunning and smart, however, like rats. Jerry does not want to be caught, so he needs to be original and creative in order to fight and confront Tom. What does he need for this? Use everything that comes to hand, stop the cat by any means, even if you have to set a huge bulldog.

Jerry is an anthropomorphic character invented by animators. The main task of both the series and the characters is to arouse pity and sympathy among the audience, because if you pay attention, we will notice how the cat Tom is regularly subjected to brutal attacks from the cunning mouse.
But there is some truth in this cartoon, especially for those who have at least once seen a cat rodent hunt in a house. Of course, domestic mice will never use hot tea and a huge slingshot to stop the enemy, but their eternal struggle is entertaining and unpredictable.
The cat Tom and the little mouse Jerry will always "fight", because the task of all four-legged pets is to catch the rodent and save the house from the pest. And the task of all mice is to try to survive, find food, quietly hide from piercing cat's eyes.
What Jerry loves
It is generally accepted that mice are very fond of cheese. Although from a scientific point of view, this is not entirely true, in the cartoon, Jerry is ready to do anything to get the treasured dairy piece. The gray mouse in the animated series generally loves to eat, which is why he has to constantly get out of his mink. It is surprising that in such a small rodent it can accommodate a whole fried chicken or a huge cake.
Jerry also loves to help, animators have added this feature to almost all episodes. In one episode, you can see that the mouse helps his brother or nephew, and in the other, how carefully and fearlessly he cares for a neighbor's puppy.
In this series, Tom’s cat is the most pitiful, because not a single owner, being in his right mind, will be indifferent to the fact that all the food from the refrigerator is gone, and mice run around the house. Naturally, the four-legged friend is afraid that he will be kicked out as unnecessary, so he is so stubbornly trying to catch a small rodent. But, as the cartoon shows, everything is in vain. In any case, the heroes still have a chance to make friends and find a compromise in order to live together in the same house.
