Alistair is so immersed in his own concept of the world, so fixated on future success in society, that his relationship with Miles is imbued with a spirit of rivalry.

On this side, he feels a little flawed, not knowing how to attract the attention of the opposite sex. Alistair is accustomed to the fact that he gets everything easily, just a hint. Even if Lauren didn’t like him so much, the fact that she preferred the other arouses secret indignation and envy in him. Already, he longs to put everything in its place, insisting on sharing rooms with Miles. He lives by the principle of "Never fail and compensate for them as you can."

Now, in the person of Alistair Ryle, Harry Villiers has a competitor who is ready, after a few glasses of alcohol, to cross that thin line beyond which even the money and power of his parents will not help.
How did the young actors prove themselves?
Most viewers, assessing the acting skills, are unanimous in their opinion: the main "rebel" Alistair Riley performed by the young British talent Sam Claflin turned out to be just excellent. When acting causes a lot of emotions, when the audience for a short period of time is really able to hate the character, it says a lot. Probably no one would be able to cope with the assigned responsibility better than Claflin. This is a worthy application for success, and soon, most likely, we will be able to see it in dramas of venerable directors.
Max Irons and Douglas Booth also coped with their task. As a result, we got three such different male characters, which in general made up a single ensemble. Paradoxically, the viewer sees a riot of ordinary people who do not want to put up with the arbitrariness of wealthy boys. The girl from the escort services Charlie (Natalie Dormer) does not want to stoop to the status of a street prostitute.
Linda, who was called by Alistair Riley, using Miles' phone, does not want to serve pretty drunk majors, even for full compensation for the cost of studying at the university. And the owner of the institution in which the next brawl took place (Michael Gibson), expressed to the members of the secret community everything that he thought of them. For his honest and straightforward position, for his unwillingness to put up with lawlessness, the man suffered. Alistair Riley brutally beat him to death. If you have already seen the picture “The Rebel Club” (Ben Schnitzer played the role of a wealthy young man with Greek roots), everything becomes very clear to you. Even within the club itself, there is a clear hierarchy. And if a person has money, but does not have the status of a nobleman, even you can make fun of him a little.

However, this circumstance, as well as the fact that in the future the young man decided to permanently tie up with secret societies, weakly justifies him. It is worth noting that in this film all the actors did their best. The "Rebel Club" makes you think a lot and rethink a lot.
