Thinking about baking something tasty for the holiday, for the arrival of guests or just for dinner, many housewives primarily consider products from puff yeast-free dough. It is obedient enough, and to make a pie or small pies from it is very simple. Especially when it comes to frozen dough, which can be bought at the store, saving a lot of time. It remains only to cook the filling, while defrosting the semi-finished product, and bake the finished cake in the oven.

Some prepare dough at home well in advance and freeze it for the future, believing that it is obtained from more natural and high-quality products. In principle, everything that is done at home is more useful than a store. However, if you take into account that it can take several hours to prepare such a test (which not everyone can afford to spend), sometimes it is much easier to buy puff pastry. The recipe for this semi-finished product is so simple (it only includes margarine, flour and water) that homemade is rarely different from the store one. Unless someone has a unique option (for example, on beer or with the addition of vodka).
The simplest
recipe for puff pastry includes 2 cups of wheat flour, half a glass of water, a little salt and a pack of margarine (and preferably butter). Of all the ingredients except margarine, unleavened dough is kneaded. Then they roll it thinly, rub half of the margarine on a grater, sprinkle it on top and, folding it in an envelope, put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Then the procedure is repeated.
Unleavened dough products can also be quite tasty, but these are usually steamed dishes, boiled or fried. Bake it quite rarely. Among the most popular dishes can be called dumplings, manti, dumplings, pasties, sometimes it is made into cheesecakes, cakes, thin snack cakes.
Products from
puff yeast-free dough are just the opposite, baked in the oven. The simplest recipe from this semi-finished product is sweet βtonguesβ. They are prepared by cutting the dough into strips, greasing on top with yolk and sprinkling with sugar (you can add a little cinnamon). Literally in 15-20 minutes, delicious puff "tongues" will be ready. They need to cool a little and can be served with tea.
More complex products from puff yeastless dough are prepared with fillings. The easiest option is pies. They can be with meat and potatoes, with fish and cheese, with cottage cheese and fruits. Having prepared the filling, you need to wrap it in rolled dough and bake products in the oven. You can make one big cake. Then the serving will be more effective, especially if you decorate the product on top with various figures that are easy to fashion from the rest of the dough.
For meat pies, for example, you will need (for 500 grams of ready-made dough) a pound of pork, vegetable oil, 2 onions, salt and spices. The meat is cut into small cubes, fried until half cooked, then add the onion, salt, sprinkle with spices and fry until slightly golden. For juiciness, you can add a little cream. The minced meat is wrapped in rolled dough, greased on top of the pies with an egg and put in the oven for 20 minutes.
In general, there are many recipes for both sweet pastries and all kinds of snacks. The only thing to remember: products from puff yeast-free dough will not brown if they are not greased with yolk.
