With brown sugar and anise
To prepare this dish, we need the following ingredients:
- a kilo of chicken wings,
- 4 small slices of ginger,
- 3 stalks of green fresh onions (we take only the white part),
- 1 large spoonful of peanut butter
- 2 tbsp. l light soy sauce and 2 dark,
- 3 tablespoons brown cane sugar
- 3 "stars" of anise.
Cooking is easy!
Wash and dry the main product. Heat the pan, pour in the oil and put the ginger and onions in it. You need to fry it for almost an instant until you feel the characteristic aromas.
Put the wings in the pan, stirring to cover with oil (and so that the skin does not stick to the pan). Add more lean butter if necessary. It is necessary to fry, turning constantly, for about 5 minutes, making sure that the skin does not stick to the walls until the wings become light golden in color on all sides.
After that, add water to barely cover the wings, light and dark soy sauce, sugar and anise. Reduce heat to minimum and cover.
Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally so that the lower wings do not stick to the bottom.
Then remove the wings from the pan to a separate plate of suitable volume. Cook the sauce remaining in the pan until a thick consistency. Pour the chicken wings with the resulting mass and serve on the table (can be portioned or on a large dish). This dish is eaten hot, but it is also possible right from the refrigerator the next day, if the wings have been left undone for so long.
Japanese with Mirin
Chicken wings in soy sauce are a popular dish not only in Chinese, but also in Japanese cuisine, and can be easily cooked by you in the oven or on an open fire. This recipe is made with ginger and garlic. The chicken is also pickled in a very simple mixture of soy sauce, ginger and garlic. The wings are baked and then decorated with fried white sesame seeds. This dish is ideal for parties and picnics, as well as for an ordinary family dinner for several people.
Chicken wings in Japanese cuisine are usually cooked whole, and are known as tebasaki yakitori. What we need for marinade / sauce: 1 large spoon of soy sauce, 1 large spoon of mirin (a very sweet Japanese wine used in cooking), 1 small spoon of grated ginger, a couple of garlic cloves (chop finely). Main product: 10 whole wings. And also - 2 tablespoons of fried white sesame seeds (for sprinkling).
Simple cooking!
Prepare the marinade in a small bowl. Combine soy sauce, mirin, grated ginger, and chopped garlic. Mix well.
Place the wings in a bag or container (you can divide them into parts, or you can use them entirely). Pour the marinade over the chicken, mix well to cover the wings and set aside for one hour. Stir the product periodically in a bag or plastic container to marinate the chicken evenly.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Wipe the baking tray with vegetable oil. Put the chicken in there, pouring a little marinade over it. Bake for half an hour until the peel turns brown.
