Childhood
Elena was born at the end of June 1982 in the German city of Dresden, which stands almost on the border with Prague. In Soviet times, her father served in Germany, so he went to the German garrison with his pregnant wife. For a long time, the family wandered in the service of their father — they lived either in Karelia or in the Nizhny Novgorod region, until they finally settled on a permanent residence in Vologda. It was in this city that Elena Plaksina spent her childhood and youth.
According to the recollections of the actress, she never wanted to play a movie and on stage, despite the fact that she grew up as an artistic child. The girl’s real dream was a career as a teacher. In school, she sang, played musical instruments, danced, and also participated in performances by amateur jazz ensembles.
After leaving school at the call of her heart, she entered the Pedagogical University at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics and was preparing for the career of a teacher. But everything changed at one point.
Teaching at the theater
Studying in the second year of physics and mathematics, the girl met Elena Bukharina - the head of the Teremok puppet theater in Vologda. She discerned acting abilities in the girl and strongly recommended entering a theater university. And for this, it was necessary to go to Moscow. Inspired by an interesting idea, Plaksina submitted documents to the RATI and began to wait for admission. However, the pedagogical has not yet given up before setting official results - suddenly it would not have been possible to pass the qualifying round. A talented girl managed to do the first attempt. What she was unspeakably glad for - it was not for nothing that she arrived.
She studied with pleasure, could not wait to play on stage, to act in films. Immediately after receiving the diploma in 2005, Elena Plaksina (photo below) began to look for work. She went to several theaters.
Free space was in the Sovremennik Theater, where they took her, the actress immediately plunged into the working atmosphere. Creative activity began to develop rapidly, the first roles appeared. On the stage she played in the performances “Vacation by Wound”, “Taimyr Calls You”, “Three Nightingales”, “Funny Case”, “Demons”, “Malen”, “Woe from Wit”, “Three Sisters”, “Performance”, “Three comrades”, “Pretty”, “Seryozha”, “Autumn Sonata”, “Outsider”.

In 2003, the girl was invited to star in the movie. So Elena got a role in the TV series "Ambulance". However, a long pause followed. Only a few years later, Elena played the main character in the series "Service 21". In the picture, the enthusiastic girl played by Plaksina creates, together with her comrades, a rescue service and helps everyone who is in trouble. Immediately after the release of the picture on the screens, the characteristic actress drew attention. And now there was no shortage of invitations.
From 2006 to 2016 She played in several iconic films, many of which fell in love with the Russian audience - “Suicide Club”, “Servant of the Sovereigns”, “Three Women of Dostoevsky”, “Travel Card”, “Translator”, “Swallow's Nest”, “Schroeder”. But the roles in “Galina,” where Elena played Galina Brezhnev in her youth, and in “Fir-trees,” where she appeared in the image of the girl and wife of Boris, the hero of Ivan Urgant, brought her special popularity. On the set, Elena managed to work with Sergey Svetlakov, Vera Brezhneva, Arthur Smolyaninov, Sergey Garmash, Ekaterina Vilkova and others. Plaksina starred in every part of the popular picture.

While still studying at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, the girl met the future actor Tikhon Kotrelev. The young man studied at the directing department. An affair began, which turned into a marriage. In 2008, lovers officially formalized their relationship.
In an interview, both admit that despite the absence of children, they are a full-fledged family in which there is mutual assistance and support. Both express their hope that they will soon acquire heirs.
