The mise-en-scenes is one of the means of expression used in the theater, in cinema, on television, during the filming of clips, and so on. This is a way to more fully express the main idea of each scene of an action and make it emotionally stronger.
Terminology
The meaning of the word "mise en scene" (mise en scène) is translated from French as "placement on the stage." There are many possible explanations for this term. For example, S. I. Ozhegov gives him such a definition: the location of the actors, as well as the scenery and all the objects on the stage, which corresponds to various moments in the production. But the most correct interpretation is given by S. M. Eisenstein. According to him, the mise-en-scene is a combination of elements (both spatial and temporal) in the interaction of actors with each other. That is, a single whole that is interwoven from the action with the laws of its tones, rhythmic patterns, as well as movements in space.
The main components of the staging scene are, of course, the words and movements of the artists. Its additional elements are music, noise, color and light.
The skillful construction of the staging scene depends on whether the director is able to think with plastic images and see all the actions of his production through the movements of the actors.

Appointment of certain types
The final one expresses the main idea of the whole performance and creates unity between artists and spectators.
The reference mise-en-scene is the main arrangement of the characters in relation to each other and surrounding objects, which is decisive for each action and carries the meaning of this particular episode.
The mise en scene of the monologue (refers precisely to the reference ones) is divided into a monoscene and a monologue-story. Monoscene involves restrained movements of the artist. The staging in the monologue is the character's pose. On stage, the artist is alone, he expresses with his movements and postures an acute reaction to the surrounding objects and to the inner world of his character. The monologue-narrative assumes that the audience acts as a partner for the character, the artist communicates with the public, while constantly trying to perform any physical actions, but is constantly distracted from them in order to continue the story.
Crowd stage (also referred to as reference) - placement of a whole group of performers or even several groups on a film or theater set.
But episodes cannot exist separately from each other. In order for all of them to be connected into a single whole, a transitional mise en scene is used. Or, one might say, intermediate between the main ones.
What should be the mise-en-scene
Since this is one of the most important means of expression, it should be well thought out and planned by the director. The main requirements to which the mise-en-scenes must meet are expressiveness, truthfulness, vitality and naturalness. Its purpose is to express the relationship between the characters, the inner world of all heroes and the ongoing struggle of the characters in the production. And also it should brightly and fully reflect in the plastic the main content of the episodes and actions of the performer.
How brightly, expressively and truthfully staged scenes will depend on the director. It matters its cultural level, artistic taste, life experience and a correct understanding of the action. And also not the last place in this list is occupied by how well he understands painting and sculpture, since the creations of the great can serve as examples of ideal stage settings.
Cinema
What is the movie theater? The same as in the theater - the location of the actors and the objects surrounding them, not only on stage, but on the
set. Cameras are involved in the process of shooting. Therefore, the mise-en-scene in the movie involves not only the director building the poses and movements of the actors, their interactions with each other and with the environment, but also developing camera movements together with the operator, its statics,
lens selection, camera angle, and lighting. There are many nuances, but the essence remains the same: to convey the main thoughts of the picture to the viewer as fully and emotionally as possible.
A well-built mise-en-scene is one of the components of success both in the cinema and in the theater.
