The art world of the classic writer always contains a number of images of a particularly large conceptual semantic capacity, evoking a swarm of associations among the reader. In Turgenev it will be love, nature, the universe. Using Yevgeny Bazarov as an example, one can consider how these values are collapsing, ultimately causing the destruction, or rather, the physical impossibility of its existence. We can say otherwise - God laughed at all the convictions of Yevgeny Bazarov and led him to an inevitable result, which he never realized. That is why Bazarov died.
Love
In the life of Turgenev and his characters, love occupies a truly dominant place. The Turgenev’s general definition of this primary human sympathy is indicative. “I believe,” said the writer to Gustave Flaubert, “that only love causes such a flourishing of the entire human being.” The love of Turgenev's heroes already initially bears the seal of inner drama, which predicts an imminent breakup for these people. In fact, Anna Odintsova and the strong-willed and resolute Yevgeny Bazarov, who, according to his admission, fell in love with “stupid, crazy”, that is, passionately and, add, forever, will not have any long union. The metaphor that Turgenev introduces into his works, “love-candle”, “love-lamp”, is not accidental, because the candle, in addition to its other meanings, symbolizes the channel of a person’s communication with other worlds, defines the meeting point of this world and the other world.

And Yevgeny Bazarov, being a principled atheist, does not wait for the continuation of the life of the soul, but somewhere inside himself he hopes unconsciously for a merger with something unlimited. The candle body will disappear, but the fire never disappears, where it goes and where it comes back from is a mystery. The unreality of the union with the beloved is one of the reasons why Bazarov died.
Atheism
Bazarov is a convinced atheist. But this is a fashion moment of the time when the systemic crisis of Russia took place in the 60s. It was also a crisis of religious consciousness, organic for feudal society, where the head tsar-father has the sacred meaning of the anointed of God, a reflection of which is reflected both on the landowner and on the head of any patriarchal family. This consciousness collapses with the onset of capitalist entrepreneurship, which is already based on a legal consciousness. The reason for Bazarov’s disbelief was a maximalist personality pathos, fearing the dissolution of individuality in God. In essence, this desire meant the desire to overcome death itself. Evgeny Bazarov’s disbelief made him an orphan. This is the second reason why Bazarov died.
Nature
She, as it were, promises to share with those who turn to her, if not immortality, then her unparalleled longevity. However, it leaves for life only ordinary people who are not distinguished by anything. So in the novel Fenechka, Arkady, Katya will live and prosper, but the forty-year-old Pavel Petrovich Kirsanov will be the living dead.
And as if an accidental fatal death in 28 years will overtake Yevgeny Bazarov. They are very different people, but related in their personal extraordinary. This is not welcomed by nature, which is why Bazarov died. Nature in its new state towards humanity, when it seeks to be immortal, becomes hostile, and then it does not even triumph over man, but goes forward, devouring everything.
Universe
This is the last part of the Turgenev triad. Did the author himself consider it possible to have an equal alliance with him? Here is Evgeny Bazarov’s famous bitter meditation in a scene under a stack, where he, along with Arkady Kirsanov, indulges in a wonderful occupation, lying on the ground and looking up at the sky. He thinks about his insignificance in comparison with the cosmos, a grain of sand, to which no one cares. He understands that he has measured extremely little time. And this he perceives as disgrace.
This is a direct rebellion of a proud plebeian against the deaf and blind laws of the universe, so cruelly disposed of by man. The inability to cope with patterns is the reason why Bazarov dies at the end of the novel by Turgenev.
If you carefully read at least Turgenev’s stories and stories, then this triad will be revealed - love, nature, the universe, unforgiving forces for man, surpassing all his futile attempts to extend something. This may be the basis for the essay “Why Bazarov died”. Although it is possible with scrupulous thoroughness, without summarizing, to list small facts.
