From childhood, we all remember how mom or grandmother wrapped us in a warm blanket and brought hot tea with raspberries or herbs. Such a popular method of treating colds or flu was fixed in the days of our great-grandmothers, and for good reason. Hot broth or broth therapy has a scientific basis. Let's see if you can drink hot tea at a temperature.
How hot tea works
Any living organism, be it a person or an animal, regulates its life activity due to heat transfer processes, including heat transfer, the lack of which is expressed by fever during an illness. In other words, it is necessary to provide the body with the ability to give off heat due to increased sweating.
It is worth noting that the removal of toxins takes place purely during sweating, which greatly accelerates recovery and facilitates the patient's condition. If you have a cold or bronchitis, you can drink hot tea at a temperature, as well as simple (without gas) heated water, the effect will not be so strong, but dehydration will not occur and the disease will pass faster.
Drinking mode
No less important is the issue of drinking plenty of fluids: to ensure stable sweating of the patient, as our grandmothers said, you need to sweat well.
If the temperature is high, you can drink hot tea with honey or milk with the addition of butter. This recipe is explained very easily: butter and milk envelop the mucous membranes and the respiratory tract, making it easier for the patient to breathe.
The drinking regimen in this case is aimed at preventing dehydration, which inevitably leads to thickening of the blood and difficulty in the passage of fluid through the body.
For example, during inpatient treatment, patients are prescribed droppers with ordinary glucose. At home, drinking plenty of fluids will provide a quick liquefaction of the mucus in the bronchi, thus preventing the mucosa from drying out, which in turn blocks the reproduction of pathogenic organisms.
What drink is good for illness?
Is it possible to drink hot tea at a temperature, we found out. And which one?
No wonder our mothers and grandmothers made us tea with raspberries or a decoction of herbs. These types of drinks are considered the most effective, with diaphoretic properties.
If you like ordinary tea, you need to brew it very weakly, since a high caffeine content will only increase dehydration.
If the child has a high fever, offer him your favorite drink, but in moderation, to avoid vomiting (which can cause heavy drinking). Decoctions of dried fruits (necessarily homemade, without dyes), warm compotes and a decoction of herbs will be extremely useful.
