Many ignore steamed vegetables, believing that it is not tasty. However, this is a misconception. Such food can be mouth-watering and tasty. The biggest advantage of steamed food is the preservation of all vitamins. With the necessary equipment, steamed food is cooked very quickly.
When cooking, vegetables give all their vitamins to the broth and lose their color. This does not happen if you use a double boiler, slow cooker and other similar equipment. Steamed, you can cook dishes without salt or with its minimum content.
To give the dish a richer color, you can prepare the sauce. For example, mix olive oil, lemon juice, chopped garlic and onions. The perfect combination is sesame oil and soy sauce. To prepare the next dish, you will need about 350 grams of broccoli, one red onion, green onion, herbs, frozen green peas (350 grams), spices and lemon juice. First you need to prepare the vegetables. We sort the broccoli into inflorescences, clean the onions and cut them into slices. Chop green onions finely. We put all the vegetables in a double boiler and cook for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the sauce. Mix vegetable oil, lemon juice, herbs and spices (pepper, salt). We pour steamed vegetables with this sauce and serve.
Steamed vegetables can be ingredients in a delicious salad. To prepare it, you need 300 grams of broccoli. It is better to take fresh, but if it is not, then use frozen. We also take two tomatoes, the same amount of red and green sweet pepper, one onion. In addition, you will need two tablespoons of soy sauce, the same amount of vegetable oil, salt and pepper.
In tomatoes, you need to remove the skin and cut them into medium slices. We sort cabbage into inflorescences. Pepper peeled from the stalk and cut into small cubes. Next, all vegetables must be boiled using a double boiler. We process each product separately. Leave the onion raw. For salad, you also need to prepare a dressing. Mix soy sauce with vegetable oil. Cut the onion into very thin half rings. Put the prepared vegetables on a plate and pour the sauce. Chill this dish before serving.
Potatoes boiled in the same way can be served with vegetables. It will take 500 grams of potatoes. It must be cleaned and cut into slices. We fill the double boiler with water (1 liter) and grease the grate with vegetable oil. Then put the potatoes on a wire rack and leave it for 30 minutes. Add a little salt to the finished dish and serve with vegetables.
And for dessert, we offer to cook a pumpkin for a couple. It must be cleaned and cut into slices. Put slices in a double boiler and cook for about 20 minutes. Then we discard the pumpkin in a colander and put it on a plate. Top with butter, melted and mixed with toasted crackers.
