Lentil, which is one third of protein, is not inferior to meat in composition, but is digested much easier and more fully.
Lentils are rich in useful substances, but its one quality makes dishes from it unique. These beans are not able to accumulate any toxic substances. Grown even on a field with increased radiation or fertilized with a myriad of pesticides, the plant remains environmentally friendly, and, therefore, a safe and useful product.

Washed beans should be boiled in a pan, constantly adding cold water. Separately, fry the onions and garlic. Remove the finished lentils from the broth, blend, add spices, fried onions with butter. Then pour a small amount of cream and put on the fire again. As soon as the soup boils, sprinkle with spicy herbs and remove from heat. I like to season this soup with mint, thyme, sage.
Our second course will also be based on lentils. The recipes for such dishes are varied: with meat or vegetables. We choose the latter, because the composition of the meat with lentils are similar, but eating meat with meat does not make sense.
Therefore, we cook rice pilaf with lentils. To start, boil the beans. When they are half-cooked, we spread rice, grated, pre-fried carrots with onions, and spices to them. Cover tightly. By gradually reducing the fire, cook until the water evaporates. Wrap up, let stand for half an hour. Such a pilaf can be served as an independent dish or used as a side dish.
