Sinuforte: instructions for use

Sinuforte is intended for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases that occur in the sinuses. The medicine is based on extract and juice of European cyclamen. When the drug enters the mucosa of the middle nasal passage, it is able to cause reflex secretion of the paranasal sinuses and the entire mucous membrane. Such stimulated hypersecretion is observed within an hour.

The medicine is prescribed by the attending physician for chronic and acute forms of sinusitis (including sinusitis, ethmoiditis, frontal sinusitis, polysinusitis, sphenoiditis), as well as for quick rehabilitation after endoscopic surgery. In such cases, in order to reduce swelling of the mucous membrane, the drug is prescribed only on the second day after surgery.

The drug is used by adults and children over twelve years of age. Note that the drug "Sinuforte" for children is prescribed only from the age of 12 years. A single dose is 1.3 mg. When you click on the bottle, two to three drops of the medicine are sprayed, which is one single dose. As a rule, the prepared Sinuforte solution contains 38 doses.

The drug is injected once a day, by pressing the dispenser once, in each sinus. Depending on the indications, the medicine can be prescribed daily or every other day. The duration of treatment depends on the frequency of administration. So, if the patient takes it every two days, the course of treatment is from 12 to 15 days, if every day from 6 to 8 days.

In order to prepare the solution, the cap is unscrewed from the bottle and the cork is removed. Then the upper part breaks off and the bottle is opened. The contents of the vial are poured into the vial with the lyophilisate. Then the dispenser is screwed onto the bottle. Shake the bottle well before dissolving the powder.

To take Sinuforte, the protective cap is removed from the dispenser. Two or three clicks must be made into the air. Then the nebulizer is brought into the nostril in the vertical position of the head, and one click is made. Remember that at the moment of pressing the air must be held up.

The medicine is contraindicated for rhinosinusopathy of allergic origin, arterial hypertension, acute allergic reactions in the nasal mucosa and face. Among other contraindications are cystic-polypous rhinosinusitis, the period of pregnancy and breastfeeding, sensitivity to the substances that make up the drug.

If the rules for taking the Sinuforte drug are not followed, as well as its use in the presence of the above contraindications, various adverse reactions may occur. Such reactions include local disorders (burning in the nose, redness of the face, salivation). Short headaches are less common. If the solution gets into the eyes, severe irritation or acute conjunctivitis may develop.

Do not take the medicine with local anesthetics, as its effect is weakened. The drug can be prescribed with drugs that have a decongestant effect.

Currently, cases of drug overdose are unknown. There may be a burning sensation and pain in the nasopharynx. Strengthening the therapeutic effect with increasing doses is not observed.
