Baked shrimp fish with vegetables

Who does not like fish? It is unlikely that there will be a person who will answer positively to this question. You can, of course, not like any particular fish, but not all of its species. And now there are no less of these species on store shelves than in the ocean. And besides the usual crucian carp and carps in the refrigerators of supermarkets, you can find quite exotic specimens. These include shrimp fish or congrio. This "ichthyological miracle" is found in the Southern Hemisphere off the coast of South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. And in each of these regions there is a different kind of congrio.

But all these species are valuable objects of fishing. And in countries where they are caught, they are very popular. First of all, the taste of congrio is appreciated. Their meat is considered dietary and has no small bones. Still in this meat there are a lot of vitamins, fats and minerals. This set of healing elements helps to improve metabolism in the body and stimulates gastric secretion. Shrimp fish is especially useful for those who are struggling with excess weight.

And when in countries fishing with this fish, the catch is large enough, part of it is exported. Congrio enters the Russian market. Here you can buy it in the form of a fillet or in the form of a frozen carcass. But buying a congrio is only half the battle. You also need to know how to cook shrimp fish. And here great horizons open for culinary creativity. It can be cooked, fried, smoked and baked. Some gourmets like steamed. And the Japanese consume raw congrio as part of sashimi. Not only meat is also appreciated, but also the liver of shrimp fish. In its taste and tenderness, it surpasses the chicken liver.

Many housewives love to bake fish. And shrimp fish in the oven with mustard sauce is made quickly and without any exotic ingredients. For her, you will need:

  • one carcass of congrio;
  • one glass of cream;
  • one onion;
  • a bunch of dill;
  • one tablespoon of mustard;
  • a pinch of nutmeg;
  • butter.

Cooking:

The carcass must be separated from the bones and cut into pieces suitable for servings. Then it should be put in a deep bowl and salt, pepper, sprinkle with lemon juice. And for the sauce, you should chop the onion and fry it in butter. Then cream, nutmeg and mustard are added to this pan. All this is also pepper and salt, and greens are added, in this version dill. The sauce is brought to a boil and becomes thick. Now shrimp fish is poured with this sauce and sent to the oven. Bake it at a temperature of 180 degrees for no more than 15 minutes.

And shrimp fish and potatoes are also a good option. Moreover, to prepare this dish you need a minimum of ingredients:

  • one carcass of congrio;
  • three potatoes;
  • butter;
  • cumin and salt.

Cooking:

The fish carcass must be thoroughly cleaned, washed and cut into several parts. Potatoes should also be peeled, washed and cut coarsely. Then the potatoes and fish should be put in the form in which they will be baked. They need to be poured with oil, salt and mix thoroughly. Another potato sprinkled with caraway seeds. Then place the form in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. As the fish and potatoes dry, they need to be sprayed with oil. Butter can be taken as a butter, or a vegetable mix.

It turns out tasty congrio and with tomatoes. To prepare such a dish, you will need:

  • shrimp fish - 800 grams;
  • five tomatoes;
  • half a lemon;
  • vegetable oil - 100 grams;
  • breadcrumbs;
  • pepper, parsley and salt.

Cooking:

Peel, rinse, dry the congrio with a napkin and cut into portions. Then it must be poured with lemon juice and to taste salt and pepper. Tomatoes are also washed and scalded with boiling water. This will help to remove the skin from them gently. And the remaining pulp must be cut into slices and also pepper and salt to taste. Parsley is also washed and finely chopped. Then, in a baking dish, put the pieces of fish and tomatoes in several layers. All this is poured with vegetable oil, sprinkled with breadcrumbs and parsley. It is advisable to preheat the oven to 200 degrees and put the mold with the fish there. It is baked for no more than 25 minutes.
