Nikolai Karachentsov (photo below) is a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor. He is a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the RSFSR.

The future actor was born in Moscow in 1944, on October 27. His father, Karachentsov Peter Yakovlevich worked for many years as a graphic artist in the magazine "Spark", has the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Mom Brunak Yanina Evgenievna was a choreographer, engaged in staging performances in major musical theaters. The actor has a younger brother Peter on the father's side (born in 1955).
Nikolai in 1967 graduated with honors from the Moscow Art Theater School and got a job at Lenkom. On the stage of this theater, he played in many performances, such as “Czech Photo”, “... sorry”, “Jester Balakirev”. The actor gained fame already in 1974, when he played the role of Thiel Uhlenshpiegel in the play “Til”. In the 1980s, Nikolay Karachentsov became famous throughout the country thanks to the role of Count Rezanov (rock opera "Juno and Avos"). This production is still successfully shown on the stage of Lenkom.

Crash

The artist, who was driving, was driving to the city from his summer house, excited by the news of the death of his mother-in-law. He did not fasten his seat belt and exceeded speed. As a result of the accident, Nikolay Karachentsov suffered a severe skull injury and was rushed to the hospital, where he was trepanized that night and underwent brain surgery.
The actor was in a coma for twenty-six days. The subsequent recovery process was significantly delayed. Only in May 2007, Karachentsov was able to go on stage and appear to the audience.
The artist reappeared before the public on October 1, 2009 at the presentation of the CD "I Will Not Lie!" However, his speech did not recover, he reacted rather sluggishly to the environment. It was obvious that Nikolai was not able to continue his acting career.
In 2011, the actor was treated in one of the clinics in Israel, after which his speech improved slightly. In 2013, Karachentsov underwent a course of therapy in China.
October 26, 2014 in the "Lenkom" was an anniversary evening of the artist called "I'm here!". Many Russian pop stars, composers, actors, poets took part in the concert.
On November 1, 2014, Karachentsov’s creative evening was held, dedicated to the release of the CD “The Best and Unreleased” for the seventieth anniversary of the actor.
On June 5, 2015, Nikolai Petrovich received an honorary award from the “Chanson Museum” for his contribution to the development of the genre.

On August 1, 1975, Nikolay Karachentsov married the Honored Artist of Russia Lyudmila Porgina. In February 1978, the son of Andrei was born. Now he is a lawyer, married, with his wife Irina they have three children - Peter (born in 2002), Yanina (born in 2005) and Olga (born in 2015).
