The actor was in a coma for twenty-six days. The subsequent recovery process was significantly delayed. Only in May 2007, Karachentsov was able to go on stage and appear to the audience.

The artist reappeared before the public on October 1, 2009 at the presentation of the CD "I Will Not Lie!" However, his speech did not recover, he reacted rather sluggishly to the environment. It was obvious that Nikolai was not able to continue his acting career.
