The drug 'Clexane'. Instruction manual

The drug "Clexane" (analogues - "Flenox", "Novoparin", "Axparin" and others) belongs to the group of direct-acting anticoagulants. Medicines are prescribed in orthopedics, surgery and traumatology.

Means "Clexane" instruction recommends for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis with thromboembolism (or without) in the pulmonary artery. The medication is prescribed to prevent thrombosis and embolism in bedridden patients due to acute therapeutic pathologies, acute heart and respiratory failure, severe infections, rheumatic diseases with the likelihood of venous thrombosis.

The drug "Clexane" the instruction recommends for the treatment of acute heart attack with a rise in the ST-segment (if possible, medical exposure).

The medicine is prescribed to prevent venous thrombosis and embolism during orthopedic, surgical and other interventions.

The drug in combination with acetylsalicylic acid is prescribed for unstable angina and myocardial infarction without a Q-wave.

The medicine "Clexane" the instruction recommends for the prevention of blood clots in extracorporeal circulation against the background of hemodialysis.

The drug is not prescribed for conditions or pathologies accompanied by the likelihood of bleeding, threatening abortion, hemorrhagic stroke. The drug is not recommended for vascular aneurysm in the brain or stratified aortic aneurysm, with the exception of cases involving surgical intervention. Do not prescribe medication for hypersensitivity to heparin and its derivatives, for individual intolerance to enoxaparin sodium (the active component of Clexane).

The drug is not recommended (neither for treatment, nor for prevention) in the first trimester of pregnancy. In subsequent periods, it is allowed to use the medicine as a prophylaxis strictly according to indications. It is forbidden to use the drug for women with an artificial heart valve, as well as for patients under the age of eighteen. The expediency of using the medication during lactation is determined by the doctor.

To enter Kleksan solution the application instruction recommends deeply subcutaneously. The patient is preferably in a horizontal position. The introduction is carried out in the left or right region of the abdominal wall. The needle is inserted not from the side, but vertically directly into the skin fold, for the entire length. The crease is released only upon completion of the injection. After removing the needle, it is not recommended to massage the injection site.

To prevent embolism and thrombosis with a moderate risk of their development during operations of a general surgical nature, the drug is administered once a day 20-40 milligrams. The first injection is carried out two hours before the intervention.

The duration of therapy is usually seven to ten days. If necessary, treatment is continued further (if the likelihood of developing thrombosis and embolism remains). In some cases, in orthopedic practice, the drug "Clexane" is used up to five weeks.

When using the drug, thrombocytopenia (usually manifested slightly at the initial stage of therapy), bleeding (in the presence of provoking factors), soreness at the injection site, the formation of inflammatory nodules-infiltrates or hematomas, usually taking place on their own, can occur.

The instructions include allergic reactions in the form of bullous rashes to the rarely manifested side effects of the Kleksan medication.

Do not mix and use the product with other medicines.
