"Monoton" is a theater in Mitino, which is the first repertoire theater of a musical in Moscow. Its creator is A.V. Greznev. Alexander Vitalievich is still the director, artistic director and director of Monoton. The theater has three troupes: professionals, youth and children. "Monoton" (theater in Mitino) exists inseparably from the technical school named after L.V. Filatova, in which future actors are trained. The name of the theater is formed from two words: “mono”, that is, a single, and “tone” - mood. The main principle of the musical is encrypted here. Monoton, that is, all the means of expression that an actor uses in this genre (acting, dance, vocals), exist as a “single tone”, in other words, on equal terms. All of them are equally needed, important and all of them equally should be owned by an artist playing in musicals. The Monoton Theater, like the technical school, bears the name of L. Filatov, since he was his first artistic director.

Legendary performance
“The Tale of Fedot Sagittarius” is a work of actor and writer Leonid Filatov that is well-known in our country. It was with a musical performance in its plot that the Monoton Theater began its creative activity . His poster still offers viewers this, which has already become legendary production. The author of The Tale of Fedot Sagittarius himself, Leonid Filatov, praised the performance of the Monoton Theater very highly. The play was written specifically for theatrical productions.
The plot of the work is simple and similar to Russian folk tales. Once upon a time there lived the Sagittarius Fedot, and he had a wife Maroussia. The wife liked the tsar Fedotov, and he decided to get her. He gave many different orders to the archer, even ordered to bring something that cannot be in the world, in the hope that he could not do this, and then it would be possible to execute him. But Maroussia turned out to be a sorceress and helped her husband fulfill all the instructions that the stupid evil king gave him. The play is unique for its wit, irony and authorial jargon, it is both sad and funny.
Technical College
The musical theater "Monoton" is one of the few that has on its basis a secondary special educational institution that trains future actors. The technical school was opened in 1991, but initially it was a lyceum. In 2005, the first graduation in the training center named after Leonid Filatov. There are several departments in the technical school:
- acting, where future musical artists are taught;
- directing, where they prepare directors of theatrical performances;
- course of leaders of creative teams;
- theater administrators;
- radio operators;
- Artists at the theater.
College graduates receive state diplomas of secondary vocational education. In 2007, the teaching staff was replenished with new personnel, several highly qualified specialists joined it - distinguished artists and artists, as well as candidates of sciences and professors.
They study at a technical school from 3 to 17 years. Children aged 3 to 6 receive pre-school education. From 6 to 9 years old - primary school. The actor’s elementary school lasts from 9 to 13. At age 13, students move to the next, already professional, level of training - the theater school, which ends at 17. From a young age, children are immersed in an atmosphere of art. The same subjects are taught here as in a regular secondary school, plus there is a professional training depending on the chosen direction. Students play roles in the performances of the Monoton Theater - this is an internship for them. The technical school has already earned a reputation as an educational institution where students receive professional education at a very high level. Graduates of this training center receive higher education in the best theater universities of our country, and also successfully build their careers in the musical theater "Monoton" and in other theaters in Russia.
