Cabbage is a traditional Russian vegetable. A significant proportion of our agricultural land is engaged in the cultivation of various varieties and species of this plant. A bit of history
They started to grow cabbage for the first time in Ancient Greece, as well as in China and Korea. Later this two-year-old plant belonging to the cruciferous family began to be grown in the fields of Turkey, the Balkan Peninsula, in the Transcaucasus and ancient Russia.
The first mention of cabbage, as the main vegetable on the table of peasants, appears in the annals of Kievan Rus.

Basically, cabbage consists of water and coarse fiber, and therefore its calorific value is incredibly low - only 27 kilocalories per 100 grams of product. Recipe 1
We all know how long and dreary to cook traditional sauerkraut. But according to a new recipe, it can easily be done even every day. A very fast cabbage in 15 minutes will not disappoint.
On one can, in volume of 1 liter:
- Chop cabbage (600 grams) and mash thoroughly.
- 250 gr chop carrots finely (grate).
- Mix everything, add caraway seeds and black pepper (peas), lay in a jar.
- Brine: mix 300 ml of hot water (boiled), a pinch of sugar, 2 tablespoons of vinegar 9%, 1 teaspoon of salt with a slide.
- Pour the brine into the jar of cabbage and carrots, release excess air from the jar (you need to pierce the cabbage with a stick to the bottom several times) and close the lid.
- We put the jar in the refrigerator.
- In a day, beautiful, tasty and crisp, fast cabbage will be ready in 15 minutes of work.
Recipe 2
Braised and very fast cabbage: 15 minutes and done. This method is perfect as a side dish, as an independent dish, and it is also very tasty to use such stewed cabbage as a filling for pancakes or pies from any dough (yeast, puff).
- 1 large onion should be chopped and sautéed in a small amount of vegetable oil.
- 800 gr. finely chop cabbage, put in a pan with fried onions.
- Add about half a glass of milk and simmer under a closed lid until cabbage is ready.
- If there is little milk, you can add as necessary.
- Separately, hard-boiled 3-4 chicken eggs, cool and finely chop.
- Add chopped eggs to the ready cabbage, salt, pepper to taste and mix thoroughly.
- Fast cabbage is ready in 15 minutes.
Recipe 3
This is a very fast cabbage in 15 minutes. The recipe for those who love food, as in dining rooms, or cannot forget lunch in kindergarten.
- Finely chop 1 kilogram of cabbage.
- Finely chop the onions, carrots (1 each) (grate) and lightly fry.
- Add chopped cabbage and 0.5 cups of any broth or water to the pan, salt.
- Simmer until cooked over low heat.
- You can also add chopped sausages, sausages, boiled meat, stew.
- Five minutes before the end of the stew, you need to make the sauce. It is enough to mix: a little flour (one big spoon), 1 spoon of sugar, 1 tbsp. tablespoon of vinegar (6%), and 2-4 tablespoons of tomato paste. Add pepper, bay leaf and other spices to taste.
- Pour the sauce in a pan with cabbage, onions and carrots, stew a little more and you're done.
Recipe 4
In less than 15 minutes, a fresh cabbage salad is prepared:
- 200 gr. finely chop the cabbage and mash.
- ½ carrots grate.
- Cut one tomato (large) into large pieces.
- Make a dressing: mix the juice of half a small lemon with 1 tbsp. a spoon of vegetable (unrefined) oil, pepper and salt.
- Stir everything together and eat immediately.
