Childhood

Igor Vladimirov was born on January 1, 1919 in the city of Yekaterinoslav, which is now called the Dnieper. It is known that almost immediately after his birth the whole family moved to Kharkov.

War in the life of an actor

With the outbreak of war, the life of a young student Vladimirov changed dramatically, since already in early July 1941 he became a volunteer of the third rifle regiment of the people's militia army. Together with his second rifle division, he fought on the Leningrad Front. For his military merits and courage, he was awarded orders and medals. In 1943, Igor Vladimirov was demobilized, since he needed to defend his diploma at the institute.

Since 1943, Igor Vladimirov worked for two years at the Central Design Bureau. He was an engineer. But at the end of 1944 he was transferred to Leningrad, where until 1947 he also worked as an engineer. But he soon realized that he still did not like the profession of an engineer, and all this time Igor Petrovich was drawn to the theater.

In 1948, Igor Vladimirov, an actor whom the whole country knows and loves, begins to work in the regional operetta theater of the city of Leningrad. For two years, he successfully combines this work with work in a touring theater.

But in 1949, Igor Petrovich transferred to the Lenkom Theater. Basically, the novice actor Vladimirov was given the roles of young heroes. In total, on the stage of this theater, he played in four performances. So, this is the role of Boris in the theatrical production of Thunderstorm, Lopukhov in the play New People and others.

In the same 1949, the new director Georgy Tovstonogov came to the theater, who completely occupied the talented actor in his performances. So, Georgy Alexandrovich began to gradually introduce him to the director's profession, teaching him the basics.

In 1960, moving to the Lensovet Theater, actor Vladimirov played in 8 performances. So, he played Gaev in the theatrical production of The Cherry Orchard, Bagorycha in the play “Whose are you old man?”, Professor Preobrazhensky in the play “Dog Heart” and others.

But as a director Igor Petrovich proved himself not only in the theater, but also in the cinema. Since 1964, director Vladimirov has also shot films. Just in his piggy bank nine paintings. The debut directorial work of Igor Petrovich can be called the film "The Man from Stratford", which was released in 1964. Among his works are films such as “The Taming of the Shrew,” “Fifteen,” “Baby,” and others.

The most significant directorial work of Vladimirov in cinema was the musical fairy tale for adults “Extra ticket”, which was released in 1983. The main roles in this film were played by Mikhail Boyarsky, Elena Solovey and the director himself. The plot of the film develops after the wedding of two lovers. A month after the marriage, they begin to quarrel, and here comes the wizard who helps everyone, but at the same time he is completely unhappy.

Actor Vladimirov was married three times. The first wife of the famous actor and director was actress Zinaida Sharko. In this marriage, Igor Petrovich had a son, Ivan. The second chosen one of the outstanding actor Vladimirov was Alice Freindlich. Igor Petrovich met Alisa Brunovna at the Lensovet Theater, where together they played in several performances. In this marriage, the famous actors had a daughter, Barbara, who followed in the footsteps of her parents and also became an actress. The third wife was also the actress Inessa Perelygina, who was forty-four years younger than Igor Petrovich.

In the last years of his life, Igor Vladimirov, whose personal life was also connected with the theater, was seriously ill. He often lay in hospitals, and even he had several surgeries. The outstanding actor Vladimirov died in late March 1999.
