If you have ever tried to eat proper nutrition or practice it at the moment, then you probably had to face one problem. And it is called - craving for sweets, especially for baking. Indeed, this category of our food cannot be called useful. For the preparation of rolls, cakes, cookies, a huge amount of sugar and butter is usually used. After eating a couple of crackers or a freshly baked croissant with chocolate, you most likely will not feel full, and you will get plenty of calories.
However, completely denying yourself the pleasure of drinking a cup of tea in the bite with something sweet is also harmful. At least for our moral health. There is a golden mean - to replace the most harmful (high-calorie) ingredients with more correct ones. Today we will tell you how to bake healthy homemade cookies in vegetable oil. The latter not only does not contradict the principles of healthy eating, but is also an integral part of it.
There will be two recipes. For Sunday breakfast, instead of porridge, we offer you to bake oatmeal cookies in vegetable oil with nuts and dried fruits, and for evening tea drinking - shortbread, with pieces of dark chocolate and berries. Let's start with the first one.
Healthy oat dessert
One of the undoubted advantages of this recipe is its availability. Most likely, you donโt even have to go to the store, as you will certainly find all the necessary products in your kitchen. To prepare the dough, we need:
- oat flakes - 300-350 grams;
- wheat flour - 2 large spoons;
- eggs - 2 pieces;
- vegetable oil - 100 ml;
- sugar - 1 cup (can be replaced with 3-4 tablespoons of honey);
- soda - 0.5 teaspoon;
- lemon - a quarter of a teaspoon.
If you keep a post or are supporters of vegan nutrition, you can slightly adjust the proposed list of components. So, the eggs are easily replaced by two ripe bananas - they will act as a โbondโ in the dough. Instead of wheat flour, take the same amount of chopped (!) Oat or buckwheat flakes, for sweetness, add honey, not sugar, and your cookies will be a real standard for proper lean baking.
Cooking dough
You need to try very hard to spoil oatmeal cookies in vegetable oil. The recipe is so simple that even a child can cook it. We will need two bowls. In one, mix oatmeal with vegetable oil and leave this mass to infuse for an hour. We divide the eggs into yolks and squirrels. The first ones are added to our oatmeal mixture along with sugar, soda and citric acid. Beat the whites in a separate bowl in a dense foam.
Sift the flour and add to the main bowl, carefully stirring the resulting dough. Then gently pour the same protein mass there. Mix from bottom to top so that the volume does not fall. Thanks to this technology (when the whites are whipped separately), the cookies are crispy and crumbly.
Baking cookies
Now you can turn on fantasy and add some zest to the dough. In our case, these will be nuts and dried fruits, there will be a lot of variations, so there is where to take a walk. For example, almonds and dried cherries, hazelnuts and raisins, cashews and cranberries, etc. are perfectly combined. The amount of these components is determined according to your taste.
It remains the case for small. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and grease with vegetable oil. Spread the cookies with a spoon and send it to the oven (200 degrees) for 20-30 minutes. Done! Delicate and crumbly oatmeal cookies in vegetable oil are an excellent substitute for oily buns. Eat to health!

This recipe is just a godsend for leading HLS and vegans! Cookies based on this test are prepared from products of only plant origin. In addition, the recipe is universal, it is suitable not only for sweet pastries. Let's see what we need:
- vegetable oil - 150 ml;
- ice water (this is very important!) - 150 ml;
- flour - about 2.5 cups;
- salt - half a teaspoon;
- brown sugar to taste.
This recipe is no less economical than the previous one. And even more simple to execute. First, prepare the emulsion - mix ice water with salt and vegetable oil in a bowl. Vigorously stir until foam. Sift flour in advance and combine with sugar. Now pour the liquid mass into a dry one. Knead the dough, it should easily move away from the hands. Done.
To shortbread cookies in vegetable oil was not too simple and boring, we add bright flavors to it. We offer the option with dark chocolate (a good bar with a high content of cocoa beans usually does not contain any animal additives) and blueberries. This combination has been tested more than once - it is amazing! Add chopped chocolate and berries to the dough, spread on a baking sheet and send to bake in a preheated oven (180 degrees) for about 25 minutes. The cookie is ready and waiting for you for tea!
