First, prepare the fish fillet, removing all bones from it. There are few of them in salmon, because this process usually does not make much work for the hostess. - greens (parsley, onion, dill) - to taste;
- mayonnaise.
How to cook step by step?
Cooking takes 45 minutes:
- The dough is rolled out and divided into 2 parts (equal). An oval is cut out in one part of the dough (a fish will be made of it) and several strips up to 1.5 cm wide
- Spread the dough on a baking sheet, fix the strips along the edges with a beaten egg. Bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 10 minutes.
- While one side of the "golden fish" is baked, you can do the cooking of the filling. Boiled eggs, fresh salmon and greens ripple finely, add pepper and salt and season with mayonnaise.
- In the rest of the puff pastry, a triangle is cut out - it will be the head of a "goldfish", 2 identical figures in the shape of a fish tail, as well as several circles with a diameter of 3 cm - to create a "scale".
- In the form of the dough spread the filling. A triangle cut out of dough is placed on top, on the other hand a two-layer “tail” is attached, and starting from it, lay out circles.
- To make the filling better baked, you need to leave a small hole in the pie. The surface of the product should be greased with a beaten egg - then the “fish” will turn out to be truly “golden”. Bake in the oven at a temperature of 200 ° C for 10-15 minutes.

Cottage cheese fish pie
You can also cook pastry with puff pastry and salmon pie. As ingredients use:
- 900 g of dough (puff yeast);
- 600 g - salmon (steaks);
- 200 grams of cottage cheese (granular);
- dill - one bunch;
- parsley - 1 bunch;
- 2 table. tablespoons of capers or pickled gherkins;
- 200 g of mozzarella (mini or regular, cut into cubes);
- 1 egg (chicken);
- 200 ml cream (better - 10% fat content);
- 100 g cream cheese.
Cooking method
Prepare the dish like this:
- Grind salmon fillet, chop the greens (parsley and dill). Granular cottage cheese is thrown on a sieve, capers are crushed, mozzarella (mini) is cut into circles.
- Puff pastry spread on the size of the form, not forgetting to form the sides.
- Cottage cheese (granular) is distributed over the entire surface of the dough (you must first fold it onto a sieve, squeezing out the moisture well, otherwise the bottom of the baking will turn scummy).
- The second layer is put chopped greens (parsley and dill), mixing them with capers.
- The third layer is laid salmon fillet. Salt, pepper.
- The final layer spread mozzarella circles.
- Top the pie with a second layer of dough and pinch the edges.
- The surface is greased with an egg (whipped) and incisions (cruciform) are made for the free exit of steam.
- Then the cake is put in the oven, preheated to a temperature of 190 ° C and baked for 25-30 minutes, until a golden crust appears.

This cake will be very tasty if served with cheese sauce. To prepare the sauce, use 10% cream (200 ml), bring to a boil, then add cream cheese (100 grams) and one tablespoon of finely chopped dill. The density of the sauce is adjusted to taste by either reducing the amount of cheese or increasing the amount of cream. The composition is mixed until smooth. A piece of cake is poured with cheese sauce and enjoy its taste. The sauce used for this pie can also be served with fish, sausages, fish or as a bread spread. This recipe uses yeast-free puff pastry (ready-made), as well as a filling of salmon (smoked), spinach and cheese. It turns out a very delicate cake with an indescribable creamy taste. The ingredients used are:
- yeast-free puff pastry (one layer);
- eggs - 2 pcs.;
- cream - 150 ml;
- cheese - 150 g;
- slightly salted salmon - 300 g;
- dill - one bunch;
- garlic (chopped) - 2 cloves;
- salt and pepper - to taste;
- spinach (frozen) - 300-400 g.
From the presented number of products, 6 servings of the dish are obtained.
How to cook?
It takes about 1 hour 10 minutes to create a dish:
- The dough is rolled out and laid in a form covered with parchment, so that the edges hang slightly from the sides.
- To prepare the filling, beat the eggs, add the cream, whip again. Add cheese (grated), diced fish, garlic and dill.
- Thin the spinach and lay it in a colander, the excess water is drained. Fresh spinach is poured with boiling water.
- First, spinach is laid on the dough, then the fish filling.
- The edges of the dough are wrapped, but closing the cake completely is not recommended. The edges are greased with butter (creamy) egg (whipped).
