And Ovid will remember this ironically, saying that now you have to pay for everything with gold, because life goes on in the golden age. And it so happened that it was literary works of Rome that later began to be designated in honor of this noble metal.
Russian art that left an unforgettable mark
Something similar will happen in the art of the Russian state at the very beginning of the nineteenth century. This was a period of special patronage to many sciences, paintings and culture. It is worth mentioning that Herzen, constantly thinking about the peculiar development of the steps of Russian culture, about the transformations that she went through until the nineteenth century, noted with his usual manner of saying that Russia answered the call of Peter one hundred years later with the brilliant Pushkin.
And it should be noted that subsequently they began to designate the golden period, it begins from this time. At the same time, Petersburg also acquires its classical appearance, which the reader knows from the masterpiece of Alexander Sergeyevich "Eugene Onegin."
Golden Russian architecture
The architect Zakharov founds the Admiralty, the Frenchman Tom de Tomon is engaged in the construction of an exchange, the idea of which captures the view of a huge temple of ancient times. Against the backdrop of these events, it is not surprising that in the first half of the nineteenth century, Alexander Sergeevich Petr Pletnev, a close friend of Alexander Sergeyevich, a famous poet, critic, and a very competent teacher of literature, writes a famous review in one of his own articles. It was connected with the theme of Russian poetry, which covered the period of recent decades. Pletnev mentions the work of Zhukovsky, Batyushkov and, of course, emphasizes the genius of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. It was then that the phrase flickered: "This is where the century of golden Russian literature began."

And much later, at the beginning of the twentieth century, in the thirties, in Paris, Nikolai Otsup creates a famous article where he will try to draw a line between when the poets of the Golden Age arose and the beginning of the existence of the silver one.
He relied on the thoughts of the famous French writer Paul Valery, who reasoned and studied the originality of Russian literature of the nineteenth century. He was delighted and stunned by the huge number of brilliant creators who literally shone like stars in this period in Russia. These are both writers and poets of the golden age, the list of which is headed by Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, Mikhail Lermontov, as well as Tolstoy and Dostoevsky.
Paul Valerie compared this perfection of Russian multifaceted art with the development of ancient theater. Then, in just a few centuries, only a few ingenious creators were able to form the whole dramatic culture of Europe. He is madly admired by all the works of writers, as well as poems by poets of the golden age of Russian literature.
A special century and the ingenious art of Russian creators

But nevertheless, the poems of the poets of the Golden Age relate primarily to Pushkin’s time. And originally, the century of brilliant literature was associated with the creators of the first half of the nineteenth century. And if we rely on Pletnev’s judgments, we are talking about the work of Konstantin Nikolaevich Batyushkov, Vasily Andreevich Zhukovsky and, of course, Pushkin.
It reveals some evidence of the ring composition, which is composed of poets of the Golden Age. A bright flash is revealed precisely in the work of poetry. And the middle of the nineteenth century will be more associated with works related to prose. Although even in this period several collections of no less amazing creators were published. These are the poets of the golden age of Russian literature such as Nekrasov, Fedor Ivanovich Tyutchev and Fet. It so happens that these authors and their three collections are exactly in the middle between two centuries of Russian literature. Nevertheless, they are perceived as poets of the golden age.
Russian poetry of that time was worshiped not only by Russian readers, but also by many famous critics of European states. Despite the fact that in the territory of Western countries no less than famous and talented creators were born, Russian poetry caused some special reverent attitude.

In the thirties, the efforts of Mikhail Vasilievich Lomonosov, Trediakovsky and a little later - Sumarokov, there will be a special system of versification, which will be used by many poets of the golden age. Russian creators of that time were noted as the most brilliant and original authors. In their works there was an independent, independent intonation.
It was they who managed not only to hear and see all the greatness of Russian nature, but to sing it in their poems. It was the poets of the golden age who were able to express the philosophical harmony of the relationship between man and nature. And the most outstanding, of course, was Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. His lines are studied at school, many readers know his poems, and dozens of historians around the world study his biography. But Mikhail Lermontov, who was in the shadow of Pushkin all his short life, was also no less brilliant, which depressed him. The works of the author are always filled with suffering, longing and a thirst for freedom.
One thing is indisputable, genius, uniqueness, independence of thinking and boundless love for their homeland - absolutely all poets of the golden age possessed these qualities. Dozens of works by famous authors belong to Russian poetry. These great creations to this day touch the hearts of readers and evoke strong emotions and feelings.
