The Noginsk Drama and Comedy Theater was created at the beginning of the 20th century. His repertoire includes performances for both an adult audience and children.
Theater History
The Noginsky Theater was opened in 1930. It was then that the director N. M. Efimov-Stepnyak united the actors of professional and talented amateur artists into one troupe. The theater continued to work even during the war of 1941-1945. An agitation brigade was created from the actors, which traveled to hospitals and fronts with the goal of raising the morale of fighters using art.
In the 50s of the 20th century, the Noginsky Theater became a major cultural center of the Moscow region. The geography of his tour became wider. At different times, the main directors in the theater were people such as: F. G. Sakalis, B. G. Roshchin, V. K. Danilov, I. M. Tumanov and many others.
The years of the 60s were very difficult. Artists began to leave the theater. Only 15 actors remained in the troupe. But the Noginsky Theater survived. In the 70s, the troupe expanded again. Graduates of the Shchepkinsky and Vakhtangovsky schools, as well as GITIS and the Moscow Art Theater School Studio came to work in the theater.
In the 80s, the Noginsk drama was awarded an honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, became the winner of the Komsomol Prize. The theater took part in festivals several times and became a laureate.
In 2005, on the 60th anniversary, the troupe presented the audience with a performance called the Savelyevs. The production is dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland. It tells of three generations belonging to the same family. Representatives of the older generation went through the Great Patriotic War, the second through Afghanistan, and the younger ones through Chechnya. The performance was a huge success and was awarded a prize.
The theater is renowned not only for its excellent performances, but also mainly for its actors. Among them are two national artists and ten - honored. Also, one should not underestimate the contribution made by those people who create the scenery and costumes.
The post of director is held today by Yuri Pedenko.
In July 2012, the Noginsk drama was renamed. Now it is the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater.

In 2015, on Victory Day, the Noginsky Theater presented the audience with the premiere of a new performance based on Vasil Bykovβs novel Alpine Ballad. The performance was directed by Vera Annenkova. The production tells about a fascist camp located near the Alps. The action takes place during the Great Patriotic War. The prisoner Ivan Tereshka managed to escape from the concentration camp. But the Germans with the dogs pursued him. In the forest, he met the black-eyed young Italian Julia. She was an extra ballast for the fugitive, but, nevertheless, he did not leave the girl alone in the forest. Then they went together and helped each other. They managed to escape very far. Julia told Ivan that she was from a wealthy family, but ran away from her parents for her beloved, who was a communist. She believed that the Soviet Union is a fabulous country where everyone is happy. Ivan tried to convince her of this, but she did not want to listen to anything. Finally, the fugitives reached a strawberry glade, where they could eat berries. Love broke out between Ivan and Julia. But they managed to spend only a day in this strawberry meadow. They were overtaken by the Nazis. Ivan managed to throw Julia into the abyss, into a snowdrift. Thus, saved her life. Partisans rescued her. The very same Ivan was bitten by German dogs. After many years, Julia wrote to Ivan's family that he has a son, Giovanni. Julia loved Ivan all her life and remembered, but only regretted that she did not have a single photograph of him.
