The use of the drug in special periods:
- Pregnancy. There is no information regarding the use of Betagistin in pregnant women. "Vestibo" is an artificial likeness of histamine. It is considered a weak histamine H1 receptor agonist and a fairly strong histamine H3 receptor antagonist. It exhibits a histamine-like and vasodilating effect. Affects cochlear blood flow and the main vestibular apparatus. It has a central result, being an antagonist of histamine H3 receptors.

Cinnarizine is a more affordable and practical analogue of Betagistin. It varies in composition, but also belongs to the group of substances intended to eliminate dizziness. Sold in packs of 50 tablets, for this reason it is even cheaper than the “original”, which has a total of 30 tablets per pack.
- In chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency - 25 mg three times a day, in drops - 8 drops three times a day or in a capsule (75 mg) once a day.
- In the pathology of peripheral circulation - 50-75 mg three times a day.
- For the prevention of seasickness and airborne disease - 25 mg 30 minutes before a future trip, if necessary, repeat the dose after 6 hours.
- For a child from 5 years - 1/2 dose for seniors.
The maximum daily dose is not required to be higher than 225 mg.
With a significant susceptibility to the product, therapy begins with 1/2 dose, increasing it over time. To achieve a rational therapeutic result, a medication must be taken continuously, for a long time - from a couple of weeks and up to several months.
