How to cook manti with cabbage and minced meat
We start by making the dough. Experienced housewives recommend using a bowl with high sides. It is in it that dry ingredients should be mixed. A small cavity is made in the center, where warm water flows in and the eggs break. Carefully begin to process the dough. Mixing the ingredients for the dough with each other, from which manti with cabbage will be prepared in the future, is a real ritual. And there is no place for kitchen appliances. The dough is kneaded exclusively by hand. The stronger and longer you knead it, the better it will roll out in the future and the manti will turn out tastier.
After kneading, it is recommended to form a small ball of dough, which is covered with a towel, a deep plate or plastic wrap. The dough should rest. This will take about 25 minutes. If the dough is too hard, then the rest time should be increased. You can even add a little water and knead again. A soft dough is enough for 15 minutes. Add too little flour to the dough too soft.
While one ingredient of the dish is resting, we are preparing the second. For the filling, finely chop the onions (you can use a meat grinder or grater). Shred the cabbage. Slightly salt, mash with your hands so that it gives juice and becomes more transparent. Mix the minced meat with cabbage, onions. Add salt and spices to the filling to taste. You can pour a few tablespoons of warm water. This will make the stuffing softer and juicier. At the last stage, garlic is added. All ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
From the rest of the dough we form a large circle with a rolling pin. Divide the resulting layer into circles or squares. It will depend on what form of manti with cabbage you decide to cook. Before sculpting, set the mantle cooker on fire in advance. Do not forget to pour enough liquid on the bottom. Put the filling in the center of the piece of dough. Before this procedure, it is advisable to squeeze a little cabbage. Close the manti in any way that is familiar to you. Grease each tier of the pressure cooker with butter. When the water begins to boil, spread the manti and close the lid. On high heat, the dish will cook for about 25-35 minutes.
Sauce
A variety of sauces are often used to enrich the taste of the dish. Manti with cabbage, the recipe of which we are considering today, are no exception. The most commonly used tomato sauce is fresh tomatoes, onions, dill, garlic and vegetable oil. Sour cream garlic sauce, spicy yogurt and red chili pepper sauce are also great.
