Inflection of the gallbladder in a child

An excess of the gallbladder in a child is an abnormality in the development of an organ. Often in pediatric practice, this phenomenon is detected by chance with ultrasound of the abdominal cavity. The inflection of the gallbladder, the consequences of which can be expressed in violation of the bile output system, can be pronounced or double. In this case, the organ itself can take an S-shape. An excess of the gallbladder in a child can cause pain and discomfort in the right hypochondrium. As practice shows, in rare cases more complex anomalies are detected, but they are extremely diverse.

An excess of the gallbladder in a child usually appears on the border between the bottom and the body. Anomalies are affected by either a smaller or a larger department of the organ. In some cases, the inflection of the gallbladder in a child can be detected in several places, as a result of which the organ can have a very non-standard shape (for example, look like an hourglass or a boomerang).

Gross (very pronounced) anomalies, as a rule, appear in the first days of the life of children. First of all, yellowing of the skin is observed, which indicates a violation in the outflow of bile.

Minor anomalies do not significantly affect the well-being and movement of bile.

Clinical manifestations of organ abnormalities can occur in different age periods. In many cases, the innate features of its development and structure appear after many years, often in the school period.

In most cases, abnormalities in the structure of the gallbladder arise due to prolonged chronic cholecystitis or cholelithiasis. The development of inflammation on the outer wall of the organ leads to the formation of adhesions, as a result of which deformation of the organ occurs. This, in turn, causes digestive disorders and a change in the composition of bile.

In some cases, there is a short-term incomplete twisting of the organ around the longitudinal axis. It is the result of abrupt movements or lifting weights. This situation is also characteristic of older people who have significant prolapse of the internal organs, cholelithiasis or an increase in the gallbladder. In cases where twisting along the axis several times occurs, symptoms such as weakness, vomiting, sharp sharp pains in the right abdomen, bloating, excessive sweating occur. These conditions arise due to circulatory disorders and cracking. Through cracks, bile flows into the abdominal cavity. In this case, you must urgently seek help from a specialist.

Inflection of the gallbladder. Treatment.

The revealed congenital anomaly is not characterized as a pathology. Therefore, in many cases with congenital inflection, treatment is not prescribed.

With the manifestation of severe symptoms, the doctor may prescribe medications, which are taken in two-week courses. As a rule, drugs are prescribed for three to four months. Repeat therapeutic treatment every three months is recommended. As a rule, choleretic medicines are prescribed (Odeston, Gepabene, Flamin and others). There are a number of synthetic drugs, which are recommended for two-week courses for six months. These include Nicodine, Oxyphenamide, Cycalvalon. The appointment of any medication should be accompanied by medical supervision.

Along with drug therapy, physiotherapy is also recommended, including electrophoresis using novocaine and ultrasound. After exacerbation, therapeutic gymnastics is recommended.

A prerequisite for therapeutic measures is the observance of a special diet by patients.
