Background

With the advent of writing, literature began to develop in Russia. This happened back in the 9th century. However, it is a mistake to assume that up to this point there was nothing of the kind. Literature simply existed in a different form. She was oral and was not recorded anywhere in writing. People passed each other legends, various stories, proverbs, songs. Folklore is considered one of the most colorful sections of Russian literature. And therefore it is logical that readers have a question: who wrote the fairy tale about Kolobok? The answer is simple: she does not have a specific author. This is a story invented by the people and transmitted by word of mouth. Fortunately, it has survived to this day. That's just in a slightly transformed form, because each storyteller added something of his own to it.

How did it all start?

fairy tale about a bun

The story of a small pie that was not afraid of anything is very unpretentious. The tale about Kolobok begins with a description of the poor family of grandfather and grandmother. From the description, we can assume that events occur in the summer. Harvested in the fall, probably eaten, and the new is still far away. But I want to eat something. And the grandfather asks the grandmother to bake him a bun. Where to get flour? But the old people are not discouraged, they decide to scrape through the guts and find some leftovers.

After the work done, my grandmother finds two handfuls of flour. She kneads them on sour cream (after all, the house was not quite hungry), makes dough and sculpts a bun.

After baking, the old woman decides to cool it before serving it to her grandfather.

But then something magical happens: the flour product comes to life, sees that it lies on an open window, and immediately takes the opportunity to escape. Why did Kolobok do this? It is not difficult to guess: he does not want to be eaten by his masters.

The tale of Kolobok, the meaning of which is to show the fearlessness of the protagonist, takes a new turn. The running "pie" rolls through the forest, where the eyes look. And then new dangers await him.
