Strawberries are a delicious and very healthy summer berry, characterized by a unique vitamin and mineral composition. It serves as an excellent base for preparing fillings for sweet cakes, preserves, jams, ice creams and drinks. In today's publication, we will present several original strawberry compote recipes.
Basic version
According to the methodology discussed below, a classic berry drink is obtained, which does not contain a single gram of dyes and preservatives. To prepare it, you will need:
- 200 g of strawberries.
- 3 liters of water.
- ½ cup sugar.
Before you cook the compote from strawberries, the berries are separated from the stalks, placed in a colander and gently washed off all the adhering dirt from them. Then they are laid out in a pan filled with the required amount of sweetened water, and sent to the stove. Brew a drink no longer than fifteen minutes from the moment of boiling. Before use, it is insisted under a lid and cooled.
With frozen berries
Strawberry compote can be cooked not only in summer but also in winter. To do this, you need to freeze the berries in advance and then just make a tasty drink out of them. To treat them to your relatives, you will need:
- 3 liters of water.
- 500 g of frozen berries.
- 150 g of sugar.
Strawberry compote is cooked quite quickly. It is necessary to begin the process of its preparation with boiling water. As soon as the first bubbles appear on its surface, sugar is dissolved in it. Then the resulting syrup is supplemented with berries and three minutes later removed from the stove. With a longer heat treatment, strawberries will lose not only their shape, but also some of the substances contained in it.
With mint
Using the technology described below, a very aromatic strawberry compote is obtained with a pleasant refreshing taste. To prepare it, you will need:
- 500 g of berries.
- 10 mint leaves.
- 2.5 liters of water.
- A glass of sugar.
Water is poured into a deep pan and sent to the fire. As soon as it boils, it is supplemented with sugar, mint leaves and washed with fresh strawberries, from which the stalks were previously removed. All this is boiled for no longer than three minutes, and then removed from the stove and insist under the lid. Before serving, the drink is cooled, filtered and poured into tall glasses, at the bottom of which there are already ice cubes.
With apples
This sweet and sour drink will be a real salvation from the summer heat. It has excellent refreshing properties and perfectly quenches thirst. To prepare a fragrant apple and strawberry compote, you will need:
- 2 liters of water.
- 2 apples.
- 200 g of strawberries.
- 2 sprigs of mint.
- Sugar (to taste).
Such a compote is brewed quite simply. Washed berries and chopped apples are immersed in a pot filled with sweetened boiling water. Twigs of mint are sent there. All this is brought back to a boil, boiled for three minutes and removed from the stove. Before serving, compote from strawberries is insisted under a lid and cooled. If desired, it can be filtered and only then poured into glasses.
With ginger
This strawberry compote is considered an excellent source of valuable vitamins. It has a unique composition that positively affects the functioning of the immune and digestive systems. To prepare it, you will need:
- 300 g of strawberries.
- 1 tbsp. l honey.
- 2 slices of lemon.
- 1.5 liters of water.
- A slice of ginger root.
The washed strawberries are dipped in a pot of boiling water and boiled over low heat for five minutes. After turning off the fire, add slices of lemon to the total capacity. Ginger root plates boiled in a small amount of water are sent there. All this is insisted under the lid for about fifteen minutes, and then supplemented with honey.
With pear and cinnamon
This spicy strawberry compote will surely appeal to fans of unusual fruit and berry drinks. To treat them to your relatives, you will need:
- 150 g of sweet cherry.
- 300 g of strawberries.
- Ripe pear.
- Large apple.
- 3 liters of water.
- 70 g of sugar.
- 2 buds of cloves.
- 3 peas of allspice.
- Cinnamon stick
Water is poured into a suitable pan and sent to the fire. As soon as it boils, it is supplemented with allspice, cinnamon, cloves and sweet sand. All this is boiled for about two minutes, insisted for at least an hour, filtered and returned to the stove. Washed strawberries, cherries, apple slices and sliced pears are immersed in the boiling liquid again. Five minutes later, the pan is removed from the heat and covered with a lid.
With blackberry
The basis of this drink is frozen berries. Therefore, it can be cooked even when there is snow outside the window. To do this, you will need:
- 400 g of frozen strawberries.
- 3 liters of water.
- 200 g of sugar.
- 200 g of frozen blackberry.
Water is poured into a suitable pan and sent to the fire. As soon as it boils, the right amount of sugar is dissolved in it. Frozen strawberries and blackberries are carefully loaded into the resulting syrup. All this is boiled for no longer than three minutes and removed from the burner. Otherwise, the berries will lose their shape. Ready compote for a short time is insisted under the lid and poured into glasses. If desired, it is cooled in the refrigerator or supplemented with ice cubes.
With prunes
Lovers of drinks prepared on the basis of dried fruits are advised to pay attention to a fairly simple and interesting recipe. To cook a saucepan of compote from frozen strawberries and prunes, you will need:
- 2 liters of water.
- 400 g of frozen strawberries.
- 4 tbsp. l Sahara.
- A handful of prunes.
Water is poured into a suitable pan and sent to the included stove. As soon as it boils, sugar is poured into it and wait until it dissolves. Thawed strawberries and washed prunes steamed in hot water are carefully loaded into the resulting syrup. All this is boiled for a short time on low heat and insisted under the lid.
With rhubarb
This sweet fortified drink can be offered even to the smallest households. There are no artificial additives in its composition, because it will be a great alternative to store juices and soda. To cook a tasty and healthy compote you will need:
- 2 cups of strawberries.
- 455 g of rhubarb.
- ¾ cup sugar.
- 2 tbsp. l peppermint.
- ¼ cup of water.
Washed and chopped rhubarb is poured with sweetened liquid and brought to a boil. After three minutes, all this is supplemented with halves of berries and minced mint. Ready compote is removed from the stove, insisted under the lid and completely cooled in the refrigerator.
With currant
This interesting drink has a rich red color and a pleasant sweet and sour taste. It is rich in many valuable vitamins and is suitable even for children. To cook it, you will need:
- 1 kg of red currant.
- 2 kg of fine strawberries.
- 2 liters of water.
- 500 g of sugar.
First of all, you need to do syrup. To prepare it, water is poured into a suitable pan and sent to the included stove. As soon as it begins to boil, sugar is poured into it and wait until it is completely dissolved. Washed and sorted berries are carefully loaded into the resulting syrup. All this is brought back to a boil and removed from the fire. Ready compote for a short time insist in a closed pan and completely. Cool down. They serve it in beautiful glass glasses, at the bottom of which there are ice cubes.
With orange zest
This unusual, but very healthy drink has a pleasant taste and pronounced citrus aroma. It perfectly quenches thirst and saturates the body with vital vitamins and minerals. To prepare several servings of this amazing compote you will need:
- 15 berries of strawberries.
- 150 g of rhubarb.
- ½ cup sugar.
- 1 tbsp. l natural flower honey.
- Zest of half an orange.
- 1.5 cups of water.
It is necessary to begin the process of making compote with the creation of syrup. To obtain it, water, sweet sand and chopped orange zest are combined in one pan. All this is sent to the fire, brought to a boil and wait for the complete dissolution of sugar. The resulting syrup is supplemented with washed and chopped rhubarb and boiled together for about three minutes. Then, carefully picked strawberries are carefully loaded into a common pan. Immediately after this, the container is removed from the burner, and its contents are infused under the lid. Once the drink has cooled to room temperature, it is supplemented with honey. Before serving, the compote is ground through a sieve and diluted with mineral water.
