At first glance, the plot that the film “Closed Spaces” shows us is quite simple. A young man named Ivan is an agoraphob (he is afraid of open spaces with a lot of people). For this reason, his abode is the attic of the old house where he lives, works and tries to cope with his mental disability. His life changes when a girl from a pizza delivery service comes to him. He locks her in and reports that he wants to rape her. Everything that happens over the next hour and a half seems
adequate to the person as an art house and utter nonsense, but in fact in this film there are a lot of things and thoughts that are worth considering.
Any mental deviation, even the most harmless one, gives rise to other, more significant and serious ones. For this reason, almost all people with phobias can become patients of the clinic. Kashchenko. A closed space in which a healthy and strong-looking young man feels comfortable is a kind of symbol of security, which he so lacks. In an effort to use the body of a pretty girl who delivered him pizza, Vanya shows himself as a person who lacks mutual understanding and human warmth. From a psychological point of view, this is a closed space, his house is his soul. In fact, living with this phobia is quite simple: it is enough to have virtual and real friends who will support you, have remote earnings and enjoy a comfortable existence in four walls. But the movie "Closed spaces" is not about that. Partly it is about the search for love, albeit in such strange ways. Through aggression and inappropriate behavior, Vanya attracts Vika to himself, makes him feel a sense of fear, which turns into pity, and subsequently into love. Young bodies and young, warm hearts - this is what we notice from the first frames of the film. The closed space of the attic adds drama to the special atmosphere.
Emotional, sincere, and later bodily contact between the main characters is interesting for its atypicality. Feeling of love can arise from hatred and aggression.

Another bright hero is the homosexual Rostik, who is madly and unrequitedly in love with Vanya. That's the kind of company that the psychopath and programmer Ivan surrounded himself with. It is not surprising that the mental state of the young man is not returning to normal. Vika, too, is by no means an adequate girl. How else to explain the strange relationship with a psychopath, who also turned out to be her relative ?!
