And if both of them are together, then it’s just something incredible. Such a combination - Italian cuisine and wine - claims to be a real successful recipe for a good restaurant, which is The Safe in St. Petersburg, which appeared literally last year in the Northern capital of Russia. And it is located on Ave. Moscow.
A few words about the restaurant itself ...
The idea and implementation of this very interesting and successful project belongs to Anna Moskvitina, a well-known sommelier of the Italy Group in Russia, including St. Petersburg and Moscow.
According to a well-known historical reference regarding the premises of the institution itself, a bank was previously located in this building. And there was a safe in it with money, documents. And when the restaurant settled here, then no less valuable bottles of wonderful wines were stored in the safe. By the way, this is where the name itself comes from - The Safe - which means “safe” in translation.

Of course, the cuisine in this institution is not only Italian, but rather European. And also on the menu there are also author's dishes from the restaurant chef - Alexei Kvasov! He perfectly combines the best products with the best cooking technology. And the result simply exceeds all expectations!
For example, Tomato Soup with Smoked Beans and Quinoa, Green Ear with Salmon and Leek, Bruschetta with Shrimps and Avocado Sauce, Borodino Toasts with Salted Salmon. And here you can taste delicious dishes with seafood ("Octopus with couscous and celery"), meat dishes and Italian pasta of various kinds.
Of the alcoholic drinks, visitors to the restaurant are offered about four hundred varieties of wine. And they are all from different regions of sunny Italy. Wine is also offered by the glass. The menu has about twenty kinds of snacks for these alcoholic drinks (see the positions of the Tapas and Raw sections).
There is also a wine school service, where everyone is taught various interesting features and subtleties regarding winemaking.
Of the desserts, of course, Cheesecake, Honey Cake with Caramel and Banana Millefeuille are especially popular.

The Safe Restaurant has a fairly modern, stylish and sophisticated interior. All halls are tastefully decorated in a single design solution.
In terms of color, light tones are predominant, including gray, beige and light coffee.
There are several large halls and each of them has its own furniture. One has tables and chairs. In the other - along the large windows are tables and large sofas with pillows, thus forming, as it were, isolated "rooms".
The bar counter and the main wall are decorated with a rope panel in a very original way. This gives the institution a special zest. And between the first and second level of the restaurant, an incredible installation was constructed from soaring wine glasses, which is the hallmark of the institution.
The restaurant's lighting is provided by numerous lamps and crystal chandeliers, to which a large number of pendants are attached.
